Quivering sensations
I hope you are all wellMy question : Has anyone experienced episodic "quivering" sensations that are very brief, 10 seconds or so? I've had something similar before, several years ago and wore a Zio patch for 2 weeks but never picked up any A-fib only PACs and PVCs. I am now 67 year old dx with paroxsymal

Change in Blood Pressure Meds a Disaster
I went to my nephrologist two weeks ago. They took my BP and it was absolutely perfect - 118/62 which is hard to believe because my BP is usually high in the doctor's office. At the time, I was taking 10 mg of Amlodipine (maximum dose) and 100 mg of Metoprolol. I was SOOOOO happy! So the nephrologist

2 years today , no afib episodes
My last episode was a high stress move out of state 2 years ago. I'm 68. I've had afib for 10 years . Regular episodes every 6 months on average though more frequent in the early years before I got a proper diagnosis which took 3 years. I take flecainide , metoprolol , and Xarelto. No ablations. I'm

I rested positive last Monday. (I fainted and was sick). Was on 8 mg Pred. Put it up to 10 mg. My daughter looked after me. She tested positive yesterday and had to go home. I am trying to cope on my own but it is difficult even going downstairs. I feel ill. I can’t take a big dose of

1 ablation 3 cardioversions
I’m 81. My afib was first diagnosed in 2020 but I’m sure it started well before. In 2021, I was prescribed diltiazem at ER. The next evening, after lying on my side in bed watching Masterpiece Theater for 2 hours, I stood up … and blacked out, falling and breaking my arm. I have low blood pressure, never

Can an Ablation make my Paroxysmal AFib worse
I wonder whether someone can help me decide whether to have an ablation or wait Iam 65 and due to have a Pulsed Field Ablation and have justhad my pre procedure nurse interview. I have paroxysmal AFib -usually twice a year -lasting about 8-9 hours which I control with a one off mega dose 300mg

Tooth Infection interfering with effect of numbing agent.
My first post. Have read many accounts. Very impressed by so many that are struggling and the kindness and suggestions of others. I have been newly diagnosed afib and moderate heart failure. (3months ago) Dr put me on Eliquis and Metoprolol. Dealing with side effects and learning all I can to help myself

CT Angio update, a most nervous patient lol
Just on way home from latest test, a CT contrast angiogram, took 2 injections of metoprolol on top of my oral meds to control pulse as I was in high anxiety mode even tho have had 2 previous other CTs in past 3 months, then at last minute reprieved from the gtn spray when they realised aortic stenosis

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
Thank you to everyone for replies. I'm still wading through them but trying to avoid spending time on the computer. I survived the weekend. Saturday night was so bad that the only thing that stopped me from ringing 999 overnight was the fear that I would be told there were no ambulances available. I

Hydrochlorothiazide side effects
Interesting article since many people are prescribed blood pressure medications and drugs that have HCTZ included in them. https://www.peoplespharmacy.com/articles/hydrochlorothiazide-hctz-side-effects-complications-and-gout

Root Canal tomorrow Is anaesthetic ok?
hi all I’m a bit worried as I know Denists use adrenaline as an anaesthetic and am concerned it might kick off my AF. Currently my meds are low dose Metoprolol and daily aspirin. Any thoughts?
