Now in permanent AFib. Not coping well. On Metoprolol and an antidepressant. Frequent episodes of SOB with exertion. Any ideas?

Svt and ablation
I'm 23 years old and have been diagnosed with svt about 3 months ago. I have had quite a few episodes before it was caught on a 14day event monitor. Most of the time I get an odd feeling and know when my svt is about to start. My cardiologist prescribed me metoprolol but I already have a low resting

Heart Failure and AF: Where Does Ablation Fit in?
This is an interesting Medscape article. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/886088?src=wnl_edit_tpal&uac=232755DZ#vp_2 A couple of statements made are: "Look at which type of procedure is performed by your electrophysiologist. Pulmonary vein isolation alone is not enough." "I think that today you

My cardiologist has just put me on Flecainide 75mg and Metoprolol 25mg twice daily as well as Physiotens 200mcg ( Monoxidine ) once daily. Hopefully they will stop my rapid AF episodes.

AFIB, an uninvited guest in my celebratory getaway.
Yup, 9 weeks post- ablation and not a a single bout of AFIB, until I travel 120 Miles from home to a mountainous area with no hospital nearby. I called my EP and the doctor on call ( of course it’s Sunday and 10:00 at night) told me to wait it out, not to worry that this is normal during the 3 month

Doctor is stumped (American for confused)
My Doctor just wrote to me after a consult with Rhuemetologist. Her n I feel my PMR is almost if not gone. BUT she said my labs are back up and she can't figure why since I am back p to 20mgs. She said the Rhuemetologist said GCA normally is under better control than PMR. I have gone to Urgent care

6 months post ablation and off Eliquis - occasional pint.
It's been almost a month after six months post ablation that I don't take Eliquis. (Stopped Metoprolol and Flecanaide 30 days after ablation). The only condition is that I regularly check my blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose that would change my score since I am over 65. My EP says that eventually

Changed meds and reduced dosage Not sure where I stand
Was originally on Metoprolol 50mg twice per day. Had SERIOUS depression side effects so we changed to Carvedilol 12.5 mg 2x/day. Over time the dizziness, fatigue and breathlessness climbing stairs got worse and worse. Looked at the COREG 24 hr 12.5mg But it is still on patent and costs $300 per month

Beta Blockers, am I now tee total?
Hi everyone I've started my beta blocker trial today and so far so good, its not affected my asthma. I've only taken 12.5mg x2 so far and this gradually goes up to 50mg x2 within 3 weeks if all OK. I've been given metoprolol. However I'm after some advice. When I spoke to my cardiologist about beta

trouble breathing
Anyone else have a problem with fluid in the lungs from AF? Trouble breathing? Been twice to the ER (6 days last visit) and they get rid of it, but it comes back. Have trouble with diuretics as they cause my BP to go way down. This is new for me along with a new med - metoprolol. I love this site

Panic attacks
My panic attacks started 8/21 on the way to work, I was driving and felt my heart pounding, felt dizzy, and I was breathing fast. I didn't want to pull over for fear of dying by the side of the road so I drove fast to the ER. I was given 2 doses of metoprolol IV, and 1 dose of diazepam IV. Later that

Normal concern or unnecessary worry?
For many years I had occasional bouts of PVCs, then during a time of great stress I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF, but it wasn't until a year ago that I was given Flecainide twice a day, Metoprolol and Xarelto. Recently wore a 2-week Zio Patch monitor to give the cardiologist a clearer idea of how

Tinnitus?
Hey guys! I have a question going out there to anyone - I have been on amiodarone, metoprolol and Entresto for the AF and it's working fine. I just had an ankle replacement and am on other meds such as oxycodone. I have some pretty serious tinnitus lately and am wondering if this is a result of accumulated

Anxiety & high blood pressure
First time Poster, i'm female 47 & went in for well exam. Found out my BP was high & I had been fighting anxiety because I already had in my mind my BP would be high. Doc put me on metoprolol 50 mg & although my BP is lower I am a mess. Anxiety is worse & now I have no appetite & I'm depressed.

Second ablation?
Hello, new here, I am contemplating a second ablaton and have some fear of it. Had one in 2013 worked some for about a year, steadily continue to have increasing episodes. They are not near as severe as they were before the ablation, but they can still knock me down pretty hard. The anxiety sometimes

Peripheral neuropathy and burning feet
Saw some comments a few days ago, and wanted to remind everyone to carefully read the literature that comes with all your drugs. For a couple of years, I have had intense burning feet, especially in the evenings, and assumed it just went with the neuropathy. Not so! After studying all my medicine literature

Ablation ? Not sure if to proceed now or wait....... Newbeeeeeeee
Hi everyone. I had my first bout of AF two years ago and pla ed on both warfarin and metoprolol. Recently had another setious episode that again required amiodarone infusion to correct. Apparently I probably have other limited bouts but either dont recognise it and put it down to indigestion and palpitations

Feeling Toxic?
Ever since being put on Flecainide, Metoprolol and Xarelto a little over a year ago I have not felt like myself. At the risk of being written-off as too dramatic I will say that if asked how I am feeling I would have to use the word "toxic". It seems to go beyond just medication side effects such
