High blood pressure while sleeping
My blood pressure is controlled by metoprolol. It's fine during the day, but during the night it increases to about 180/99. Anyone have this issue and know what might be causing this? Thanks

Dental med's query
I will be having a root canal and crown done in a few weeks. As someone with either persistent? or permanent? AF for the last year, I wonder if there are any drugs the dentist might use ( primarily for freezing) that might be contraindicated with my current meds - digoxin and metoprolol. I realize

Advice needed. New to AFIB.
Hello, I’m a 47 years old male in fairly good shape. Until this summer, I could run 5 km or bike 40 km no problems. I’ve had episodes of what I used to call “heart palpitations” for years. It was always after an excersise sprint and would last for 30 second to one minute. This would happen once

Digoxin long term
This is such a great site when you forget to ask your cardio a question and your next visit is next year. Plus thanks to all the volunteers. I have a query which I'm sure has been covered previously, but . . . . has anyone been on Digoxin long term ie several years or more? I have tried to get off

Running out of meds to try
Another new medication, another set of side effects. I've now been on Metoprolol (4 x 25mg) for six weeks and it's great for weight loss (which is a bit scary). At first it wasn't too bad and I could have a sort of life, but not anymore. Nausea, fatigue, congestion etc. and it doesn't consistently

Update—ablation 2 weeks ago
It has been 2 weeks since ablation. Only had mild chest pain and some palpitations. Chest pain is gone after a couple of days. Followed Bob’s advice to rest and take it easy. 10 days after ablation saw EP and he wants me to exercise so I have been slowly walking for 20 minutes and plan to slowly increase

Well my absolutely perfect GP has apparently freaked out on me and is now sending me to a Rhuemetologist and Cardiac doctor. I was told by Rhuemetologist it would be 6-8 weeks but apparently my GP has put in a second referral request and I have appt in 3 weeks. This last week I saw the cardiologist

Getting there
In July I had a sympatectomy. The doctors had to cut a group of nerves in my shoulder close to my spine just below the base of my neck to get heart to knock off the intermittent AF and VF. My AF started in 2004. It cause me to go into cardiac arrest. Since then I worked with the doctors to get my AF
