Pip to daily meds

For 2 yr I have been estatic to manage well with pip, last episode 11 mo apart... until last nite's 2 1/2 hr episode, only a month apart. So EP is now saying flecainide and metoprolol twice daily. Not a big suprise, just disappointing. Ironically, these last few days Ive been active on here re pro/ con of ablation as Ive been petrified of " the A word", but many posts here are slowly calming my fears. I wanted to think I was the special person who's a fib did not progress. God is reminding me that its not my call! So... going to try and drop the other 35 lb and improve my general condition and seriously talk ablation at my next EP appt in Sept, which is what my EP has been gently guiding me to I believe.

Anyway, Ive rambled on only to say THANKYOU all for being on this forum. Reading your comments has helped me be braver and slowly becoming proactive with my visitor AFib. Like an unwanted house guest, I need to push him out the door!💜

do keep on with the weight loss goals and also make sure you have potassium rich food and enough magnesium.

My AF was fortnightly at one point but then three years and then one year between episodes after these changes so keep hopeful!

I am taking magnesium but had not considered potassium. Ive been slacking lately, drinking more soda that I quit in the beginning. I need to get back in the game!

Yes no soda because of it’s unseen salt. Foods rich in potassium are jacket potato salmon bananas fruit and veg.

Pill in pocket - to use as and when needed and not on a regular basis.

If ablation is a cure, I won’t think more than a second to do it.
