hi all hope everyone is well has anyone on xeloda developed blurry vision? I have a lot of redness around my eyeballs for awhile but past few days my eyes are blurry and use natural tears every morning.

Real Gleason 6 does not metastasize (?)
Increasing strong evidence that a "real" Gleason 6 is NOT cancerous e.g. not at risk for
metastasis
. Comments? I guess determining an accurate Gleason score is not so trivial.

Heading to India for LU 177
So I’m rolling the dice and hoping that all the treatments I’ve had so far has not diminished this antigen from being expressed heavily on my
metastasis
. 🤞🏼 Flights are now booked and really hoping this will work out like it has for others out there to calm this beast for a little while longer.

PSA increase after docetaxel treatment
I was diagnosed in April this year with advanced PC with high volume
metastasis
(only in the bones). Unfortunately an alleged hernia turned out to be a fatal disease. PSA 1380, ALP 566. Started with Zoladex in May which led to a spectacular decrease (660 in June, 260 begin July).

Breast pain
I occasionally have breast pain after a double mastectomy, 8 chemo treatments and 30 radiation treatments. I am now on Ibrance and Femara. I also had 16 lymph nodes removed on the side which had the cancer. Is it common to experience breast pain and what causes it? Just had a PET scan with good results

PSA from 0.15 to 2.42 in 12 months; but no metastasis?
Asking advice and thoughts on my situation. I'm 5 years post IMRT to prostate and pelvic LN in 2015. Original PCa diagnosis in 2012 with Gleason 9 (4+5), Stage 4 ('locally advanced', no mets). Three cycles of ADT (4-6 months each) from 2012-2016. From Aug 2019 to Aug 2020 PSA went from 0.15 to 2.42.

Clinical Trial Niraparib or XOFIGO
If he does not qualify for the Clinical Trial or if he chooses not to participate in that, the 2nd treatment proposed is Radium 223 (*Question here is; being that this drug goes directly to the bone, and that is where the
metastasis
seems to be at this time, would this be a better option at this time

Axumin PET scan with undetectable PSA
I had some moderate back and hip pain recently in my right hip, and my PCP sent me for a CT scan, the radiologist reading that I have prostate cancer mentioned "possible bone
metastasis
" for the same areas that showed degenerative bone changes in the first Axumin PET scan 2019.

Vaccine Candidates of Interest--- pTVG-HP DNA Vaccine and pTVG-AR DNA vaccine-- Brothers with Different Targets
In another comparison with GM-CSF, there was no improvement in

free survival, but some evidence that the vaccine had effect on micrometastatic bone disease resulting in the current trials listed below: https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/intervention/ptvg-hp-plasmid-dna-vaccine

PIK3CA mutation and Piqray with Faslodex (Fulvestrant)
Hello Ladies, I went to see my Onc Friday. I'm currently on iBrance and Faslodex but she said I tested positive for the PIK3CA mutation and she may put me on Piqray and Faslodex in the next several months. I just have one month under my belt currently with iBrance and Faslodex. I have little dots

Headaches
Hello, this is the first time I've posted though I have followed this site for some time and find it very comforting. I was diagnosed two years ago with secondary breast cancer in the bones 30 years after my initial mastectomy. I am on Ibrance and Letrozole and am currently stable with manageable side

Lifestyle - diet, exercise, stress reduction sure seems to make a difference
We had “preliminary evidence” based on all the case reports that “prostate cancer may be sensitive to diet even after
metastasis
develops. Plant-based diets may be associated with prolonged survival and instances of remission of bone
metastasis
in men with advanced disease.”

Xeloda and blood tests.
Hi everyone I had a problem getting my xeloda tablets as it was nine days since I had a blood test. They told me that it has to be closer to giving me the tablets so I couldn’t have them until I’d had a more recent test done. Is anyone else in the UK experiencing this on the NHS? I thought 9 days was

TREATMENT AFTER FIRST-LINE CHEMO?
(My dad is at 4 stage PC with bone
metastasis
.) He wants to clarify the point above with his doctor, but has not yet succeeded in making an appointment. Since we are a little bit nervous about it, I would like to ask if anyone of you have experience on this and share with us.

Xeloda - first cycle
Hi I’ve taken Xeloda for two weeks and I am now in the middle of my week off. I’ve felt ok, just a little bit more tired and my palms of my hands are very dry and flaky... this could however be due to using antibacterial gel .... I’m due bloods on Thursday and hoping to start my 2nd cycle on Friday
