Liver SBRT Monday
Hi there. Just an update. Last month, my scan showed that after only 6 months on Xeloda, 2 lesions on my liver had tripled in size. I requested a consult for Y90. After an absolute fiasco of getting the images to the RO, he advised against Y90 because of too much damage caused to peripheral tissue. Instead

Hi Dear Ladies, For those who pray, please pray for me. I have faith, will always have faith but don't know where to go from here. I have been on several treatments last three and a half years. Taxol was effective, cancer markers went down, progression slowed way down, seemed to be causing neuropathy

I think I will be coming off of Xeloda, which I have loved….
…but I am becoming very short of breath, and think that it may have stopped working. I have a CT scan tomorrow, and get to see my doctor Thursday, then may start a new treatment Friday, depending on the scan. My question is what have other people started taking once Xeloda failed them? My doctor says

Just started Piqray - now w/ rash
I had some disease progression of metastatic ILC (sigmoid colon area thickening, and a new spot on the adrenal gland). I had a good run on Ibrance and Letrozole (Oct 2017-May2021). Took a bit getting the workup, biopsy and receptor testing. I have a PIK3CA mutation - so 1st of June I started on Piqray

Metastatic Breast Cancer to the bone
I'm so sick of having cancer! Started in 2015. Along with MANY other situations, my Faslodex injections are giving me these huge, painful lumps on my buttocks that I'm sick of dealing with! (See how angry I am right now??) Any medical suggestion on how to make this situation stop happening? Going on

PET showed progression Ibrance stopped
First, thank you to all those who sent advice to me after my CT scan showed no progression. I received the results of my PET scan a few days ago and it shows a large progression in my sternum and it has spread to my rib. The other various cells around my body are still there too. My oncologist has

Alcohol detox
The ease at which he’s done this allows him to tell me “ see, I told you I wasn’t an alcoholic” He does have cancer
metastasis
in his liver. Is it still too early to think this has been a success ? What should I be looking out for?

alcohol and hair colouring
Hi there, I'm asking a couple of questions on behalf of my wife who has just been re diagnosed with cancer, 4 years after a mastectomy. She's been put on fulvestrant and paleociclib and wanted to know if a) she can still get her hair coloured and b) what's the groups advice on alcohol consumption. It's

Has anyone been advised by their oncologist to stop chemo 1 week before and 1 week after a Covid vaccination?
Hello. I had my first dose of Astra Zeneca on 19 May and was told by my onc to stop taking Xeloda one week before the vaccination and another week after. Yesterday I had my blood tests and my CA15-3 increased by 12% and CEA by 50%. I’m wondering if this has been caused by my 2 week stoppage of Xeloda

Any experience with treatment shrinking liver mets but bone mets spreading?
I'm 54 with stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized to bones and liver. My primary stage 2 tumor was treated with chemo, lumpectomy, radiation in 2019 with what appeared to be a complete response at the time. This January I got the current diagnosis with mets in bones and liver. First line treatment

Cancer with no rise in CA 125?
Normally very chipper onc looked concerned and said could be 1)
metastasis
2) new cancer or 3) just an infection. Never prayed for a lung infection before, but here I am. My question is: I've been told the CA 125 has been a good cancer indicator for me and onc's puzzled because it's still very low.
