uptake increase one spot only
In the PET SCAN world, I’m curious, what happens when one spot shows an increase in avid/activity, but everything else shows stability or even decreases? My scans have been stable and favorable this past year (praise Jesus) after starting letrozole/ibrance 16 mos ago for bone only, lobular, ER+. I have

Will Start Xeloda Soon
Hi. I have msb which is in my bones and small spots on my liver (PIK3CA mutation). I'm searching Xeloda and reading past stories from members here. When Ibrance, Fulvestrant, Xgeva stopped working after 6 mos. of treatment, next were 6 weekly (3 on / 1 off) treatments of Taxol 150 mg which I learned

Looks like progression
There is no evidence of intra-or extradural
metastasis
as high-grade canal or foraminal stenosis. Finding suspicious for metastatic disease involving the L1 and L2 Vertebrae in both iliac bones No evidence of intra-or extradural
metastasis
So how bad is this news?

BAT question. A little worried about results.
I was on Xtandi as part of a clinical trial at NIH and after 2 years my PSA started climbing and PSMA scan showed
metastasis
in abdominal lymph nodes and supraclavicular node. Biopsy of the abdominal nodes wasn’t possible but biopsy of the supraclavicular node was inconclusive.

Well, Carboplatin was a disaster - it did nothing at all so I have effectively had 8 weeks of no treatment and my cancer went crazy. I understand that sounds super negative but that's how I feel right now. So, having a scan to prove the cancer spread matches the blood work (for example my CA15 was in

Does Herceptin cause Pulmonary Hypertension
I’m new to this site and have found it to be very helpful. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2015 and was treated mostly with Herceptin and Perjeta which was very successful. However I began to experience shortness of breath and in 2019 was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. A lung specialist

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
It seems that CCL20 promotes cancer
metastasis
. In addition, it increases cancer stem cells and causes T cell exhaustion. These actions will suppress an immune response.

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
The multivariable modelling showed that tumour tissue localisation (primary tumour or lymph node
metastasis
), histological subtype, TPO and NIS expression and TERT promoter mutation were each independent predictors of iodine avidity that could explain 68% of the observed variation of iodine avidity.
