Does Herceptin cause Pulmonary Hypertension

I’m new to this site and have found it to be very helpful. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2015 and was treated mostly with Herceptin and Perjeta which was very successful. However I began to experience shortness of breath and in 2019 was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. A lung specialist and oncologist concluded that this very likely the result of Herceptin and so they took me off of it immediately. While not common there are studies that show that women over 65 are more likely to have this result from Herceptin. I am now on Faslodex and doing well. The hypertension is a big challenge as it is a progressive disease. Have others had pulmonary or heart problems related to Herceptin?

I have not ever been on Herceptin but know every one's body is different and sometimes life changing events do happen. I hope you can recover some from this development. Praying for you.🙏

Thank you for your kind words. You’re right, we don’t know how our bodies will react. I’m thankful that I’m doing well in spite of many issues.

I have heart issues from when I had it chemo in 2002-2003. I had a valve repair a year ago and am on heart meds. but I am doing ok.
