Lupron Experience
I am close to deciding on a treatment plan of HDBT followed by 4+ weeks of EBRT. Also, would have 18 months on Lupron. Am a bit concerned with the possible Lupron side effects. Would greatly appreciate hearing from others who have undergone similar treatment and how things went with the Lupron? I was

Liver problems with Zytiga
An aximum scan picked up three cancerous lymph nodes in my pelvic area. I got a 3 month injection of Lupron on 5/18 and started 1000 mg generic Zytiga on 5/26. A blood test on 6/21 showed very elevated liver enzymes; ast was 130 and alt was 215, so I was taken off Zytiga. A week later my enzymes were

Lupron Break!
Just like to put this out there for those that went metistatic and is still taking lupron. 1 year ago i stopped getting my six month injection of lupron because of Covid. So, i took it upon myself to not get any more of them except if needed. In December 30th 2020 my testosterone did go up to like

My journey with PCa
My journey started with yearly PSA test. 4.3 to 3.9 up to 4.5 at the end of 2019. At that point my urologist thought he felt something so did 6 biopsies. 3 of the biopsies contained cancer ( Gleason 7 4+3). I elected to have robotic radical prostatectomy at the end of March 2020. My prostate, semilvascial

Amg160 did not work
I posted a few days ago about my husband’s side effects of amg 160. He started having upper spine and hip pain. They did a mri and his cancer has spread. They put him in the hospital gave him steroids and are doing radiation to the tumors in his upper spine, lower spine, and hips. When they did

Low PSA Expression
My PSA was 3.5 at diagnosis (1.5 yrs ago). G9 Mets to bladder and pelvic bone. Lupron and Erleada instantly brought PSA to undetectable and for the past 1.5 yrs. Question: Seems unusual that my PCa was this advanced with a 3.5 PSA? Going forward, I’m also concerned that PSA is a key marker for me. Make

Long delay getting new therapy
Hi all, I have an aggressive PCa with a monthly doubling PSA of 47 plus ( pelvic mets plus lower lumbar spine and one proximal femur). I have pain and am on opiates so I may be fuzzy! My MO and I talked a couple of weeks ago and suspended Xofigo due to monthly doubling PSA and the MO promised a decision

ADT with Orgovyx
My PSA went up to 40 and Doc put me on Casodex, PSA came down to 24. Two months later (still on Casodex) Psa went up to 56. Doc wants me on Orgovyx. Orgovyx has a list of side effects that seem worse than Lupron. DEATH by heart attack /stroke are disturbing. Orgovyx has ALL the other Lupron side effects

New to the prostate cancer community
I am 76 years old and recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. A rise in PSA from 5.4 to 7.4 plus a bump felt on my prostate led to an MRI scan. That showed a 2.5x2 cm PIRADS 5 area on right side and smaller PIRADS 3 on the left. A biopsy with 20 samples, 12 random and 4 each of the two areas found

Welcome Back Mr. T
Despite having my prostate removed in July 2019, my testosterone remained at a health 409. In Dec. of 2019 I began a series of 3 month Lupron injections that ended after a year. The entire time I was receiving the injections my testosterone level remained at 6. My first level 3 months after Lupron

ADT Effectiveness
I know everyone is different. However, my understanding was that ADT could be effective for many years. I recently read a post that for metastatic men, it's usually only effective for months. I am deflated. My husband has been on 4 month Lupron since Jan 2021 and Abiraterone 1000mg since March.

Hello there! Would appreciate input..Hello there! Would appreciate input..
I'm brand new to this site. Really happy that I stumbled upon it during a search for, "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome relationship to Lupron." Not a lot of into on the subject so far. I was wondering if any of the folks on this site may have encountered this so-called rare side effect? If so, what was done

Hmm... So in 2/20 my RO says I'm "cured", however, my MO butts in and declares...not so fast Bozo!!
After HDR Brachy and 25 days of IMRT (2019), RO does a brief DRE, looks me in the eye and states " you are not going to die from APC"! GREAT!! No more Lupron and I can taper off Z and P!! Well, MO reminds me that I still meet 2/3 of the Stampede Trial criteria (G9 and PSA>20. My high was 28) and he

Recommendations for urology surgeons?
Hello, Everyone--I have quite severe incontinence 3.5 years after a RP and radiation (but my PSA has been undetectable for over a year; I also had Lupron for 3 years) and need an AUS. MSK has specialist surgeons who are supposed to be very good. But they are also booked months in advance. Does anyone

How do you know if Xtandi has stopped working?
My dad is on Xtandi for the last 8 months. Last 2 months haven’t been great - increase in pains / urinary retention etc Now blood reports show his PSA increased from 0.03 to 0.04 and ALP from 173 to 281 The doc says the reports are normal and to switch from Zometa to Xgeva. (To help escape the painful

Positive vibes with less pain
Taking a different road today and going down the positive vibe road. Waited a week to make sure I wasn’t premature in my happiness. Went last Wednesday for bilateral fluoroscopy guided steroid L5 epidural for my back pain. I was definitely nervous but the physician doing the procedure was so nice

Lu-177 switch from Xofigo. How long an interval?
Hello friends, I have completed 3 Xofigo shots with the PSA doubling every month ( PSA 47 at present) & increasing bone mets, as per MRI. I would like to switch to Lu-177. The nuclear medicine physician administering the Xofigo said I should wait six months to get the Xofigo out of my system before
