Flu Jab and effects on Hashimoto's
Hi there, has anyone suffered with any side effects from this new over 65's Flu Jab? I felt awful for about a week after - all the usually Hypothyroidism symptoms but much worse. I have not normally suffered anything like this in the past from the normal Flu Jabs. Would be interested if anyone has suffered

Topical blog
I was going to write a blog on one topic but with all the flu jab stuff today thought I’d write one on the flu jab instead! I’d welcome your feedback. Liz x https://comingupforairasthma.blogspot.com/2018/10/flu-jab-why-should-i.html?m=1

Question on preds
Hi there, I have read suggestions about asking my dr for gastro-resistant preds so I wouldn't need to take lansaprozole (think thats the right spelling!) which i currently take an hour before the steroids. My question is this: are these gastro-resistant ones big, as I am not great with taking big pills

We are new to this site and hope to find some answers thru researching. My husband was diagnosed in 2010 after extensive testing.
We live in British Columbia, Canada and at this point in time have heard of only 1 other case here. At our local Hospital he is "N of 1". There is no expert and it just keeps getting worse. I believe it was triggered by a very bad cold/flu in March 2010. At first it looked like the measles and it didn't

Flu jab & getting ready for winter
Went to the GP to get my flu jab earlier which I'm hoping will keep me protected over the winter. I've also been put back on doxycycline to give me a base level protection now that the sun is on the wane. Not overly pleased by this as I hate the hot flushes and burning feeling I get when I take the tablets

Getting worse after flu jab
Dear all Had flu jab on Saturday which probably wasn’t the best time as am sort in a crash anyway. Have to have it for a lung condition ( non cf Bronchiectasis) though. Know if it effects you it’s meant to be the first 24/48 hours but I feel am getting worse by the day. Wondered if anyone else has

Lack of flu jab.
Thanks to all who replied to my post. I now have an appointment at Lloyd’s Chemist in Plymouth who will administer the jab free of charge. Not enough jabs were available Nationwide. I gather new batches will be available in Nov. Once again thanks.

over 65 flu jab - bad reaction
Hello everyone - just a quick post to ask if anyone has had an adverse reaction to the flu jab given to over 65s this year? I have just had a very unpleasant and painful reaction to the flu jab with pain but more than anything extreme heat in my shoulders, elbows, wrists and finger joints. Have discussed

Flu jab for over 65's
I had the flu jab yesterday, spent the entire night coughing last night and have been terribly breathless today. I feel exactly as I did when I had pneumonia so I have increased my steroids from 10mg to 40mg today. Not feeling any better so think I will try the Clarithomycin as well tomorrow. I have

Feeling better - but why? Flu jab?
Do I remember someone posting they had relief from their symptoms after the flu jab? Did I imagine it as I can’t find it now? After feeling like I was getting nowhere on my meds for months, I am feeling better this week. I was hoping that my meds were finally working or it’s the result of healthier eating

Tinnitus/flu jab possible link
I had mild tinnitus for a number of years while taking methotrexate. Not sure if there was a link between the two but after I stopped taking methotrexate, approx 3 years ago, my tinnitus gradually decreased and has been almost non existent for the last couple of years. Up until last sunday morning that

Uncaring officialdom
I am 76 and had an AVR in Jan. Just been told by Boots the Chemist in Plymouth that I am not eligible for the flu jab because there is a shortage. Discrimination or what? I guess they want me to curl up and die!!

Immunisation
I’m currently on infleximeb. I just wondered is it safe to get immunised. I have a letter from my GP inviting me for a flu jab. The last time I had it though I felt really ill with flu like symptoms for about 4 days. I will also need to be immunised for an upcoming holiday. Are all injections safe or

Flu jab?
Hi. Does anyone out there know if those of us under 65 with RD are automatically called for a flu jab every year?

Who has had the flu jab and side effects?
Gosh this years flu jab has caused issues. I’ve experienced multiple joint pains including in my toes! I am a little flary so this may be coincidence. The injection site is very very red and burning hot to touch. I also can’t touch the area as it’s so sore. I’m guessing this is a slight reaction to

Update on Flu Vaccine
Many thanks to all who responded to my recent post ie. my battle to have the ‘super duper’ vaccine! Had the GP on the phone today to say that no, because I am under 75, I will not be given the adjuvanted vaccine, even though she agrees PMR is a chronic disease. She made a big point of saying that next

Flu jab etc Aria on yellow alert 😉
Hi 👋 Just had Fluarix Tetra, 4 strains flu jab for immunodeficient patients. It takes 4 to 6 weeks to integrate your system! Then Infectiologist confirmed the Prevnar 13 anti-pneumonia jab I did in 2016 is the best one on the market, so every 5 years. My body will make antibodies against the strange
