Meloxicam

I am going to try the meloxicam on its own first before adding the omeprazole so that I know what is affecting what!

So this morning at 4:00 I took a 7.5 mg Meloxicam and the pain in my hands and wrists was about 60% better and tolerable until the time to take the prednisone.

But it’s been about ten years so we are risking it and taking the meloxicam. Unfortunately he didn’t receive my MRI or the report. I did think ahead and got the mri on disc so I gave it to him. I got the report now and need to send it in.

I'm been dealing with this for years an the Drs don't know what to prescribe me I need help I take reqip 3 mg an Meloxicam 2 mg but it doesn't really help I'm up all night what can I do

For the first time the consultant has suggested Meloxicam and I’m wondering if anyone has had good experience on it.

The urologist had recommended taking "Balcofen" or "meloxicam" but I have been hesitant due to my bowel issues. I really am hoping someone can help guide me for further help or solutions as I am beginning to run out of options!

My other hip now needs replacing and am getting some relief from meloxicam, but that's helping all my arthritis pains,not the other. I have found three things that have helped me, ear acupuncture to lessen my stress.

A few weeks later it happened again but worse so I saw my GP who prescribed meloxicam which was a god send. He also referred me for an X-ray & physio. Again it got better and the X-ray showed nothing.

I have been on Meloxicam, Methotrexate, Sulfasalazine, and most recently Leflunomide, as well as Prednisone. None of the meds put me into remission. At best I had a 70% reduction in symptoms. I was taken off Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine due to side effects.

A m sure that lots of us are prescribed Meloxicam and a PPI to protect stomach, in my case Omeprazole. I was just wondering if the timing of the drugs matters. I usually take Omeprazole first thing and Meloxicam with evening meal, although never given any advice on how to take it.

Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and amitriptyline but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and Lipitor and told I’d need to mange on paracetamol.

I have been on methotrexate for a long long time (now injected), probably 20 years and also anti inflammatory Meloxicam for as long as I can remember. However today my GP surgery called me to do a medication review and said I shouldn't be taking the 2 together as it wasn't safe.

I would like you to continue to attempt to taper the prednisone but add a dose of meloxicam with your largest meal and see if you respond to the NSAID class as a steroid sparer."

I have a history with this knee, which has a known torn meniscus, so I went to an orthopedist who took xrays (nothing came up with fractures or arthritis) and who’s given me meloxicam to alleviate inflammation and recommended surgery.

Hi, my GP has suggested I try Meloxicam instead of my consultant-prescribed 60mg Arcoxia/Etoricoxib, because even with Omeprazole my tummy feels sore after 3 consecutive days on Arcoxia so I have to pause pain relief.

I take Eliquis and Amiodarone for my Afib and was wondering if anyone on here has taken Meloxicam while being treated for Afib. I've read a lot of conflicting feedback concerning the success/drawbacks of NSAIDs for people currently on an Afib regimen. Thanks for reading.

eliquis and meloxicam for arthritis pain?

I tried methotrexate and meloxicam, but nothing works. And all these years I live with bearable pain constantly, unless on high doses. Now in addition to PMR I developed carpal syndrome on both hands as well as tendonitis.

This was later changed to Meloxicam by my rheumatologist . Which I took daily until this year . Fast forward to May 2021 and I tripped on a step in the house and fell heavily onto my left hip .

I finally said at the worst point I took a ton of naproxen with no relief and got prescribed muscle relaxers and meloxicam. Most days the meloxicam dulls the pain to the point I can still do things, but occasionally my knee or shoulder pain gets bad enough I can’t concentrate.
