I take Eliquis and Amiodarone for my Afib and was wondering if anyone on here has taken Meloxicam while being treated for Afib. I've read a lot of conflicting feedback concerning the success/drawbacks of NSAIDs for people currently on an Afib regimen. Thanks for reading.

Just prescribed Meloxicam by my GP for joint pain and headaches.
Usually not able to take NSAID’s. Did your GP check what other medication you were on? I would check with your pharmacist about taking these with your current AFib medication.
NSAIDS have ben linked as a CAUSE of AF so not a very bright idea.
My understanding is that NSAIDS, like Meloxicam, don’t play any direct role in AFib, but they can cause internal bleeding which might be serious if you are on an anticoagulant. BTW, how long have you been on Amiodarone? I have hyper, or is it hypo thyroidism as a result of being on Amiodarone. May be worth checking why you are on it.
It's the only drug that has worked to keep me in NSR for any prolonged period of time. I am having an ablation done in Sept. to see if I can get off of it. Been on it for about 8 months now and no ill effects, Doc says I'm one of the ones who tolerate it well. Crossing fingers on the ablation I hate meds.
I asked my cardiologist about taking meloxicam and he said no. Any NSAID is not good for the heart. I have a lot of neck pain so it was disappointing but I put my heart first.
