Solu-Medrol
I have been in the bed sick for days and just couldn't seem to get over it so I decided to take my emergency injection of solu-
Medrol
(125 mg ). I have carried the medicine around for years but never taken it. I could barely move my legs from the waist down.

Hello
So I went to my doctor on Friday because my pain is so bad and I'm not responding to the steroids anymore like I initially did with the
Medrol
dosepak.

He said I didn't metabolize prednisone properly and changed me to presnilosone, or
Medrol
at 20 mg. my inflammatory markers responded immediately.

Isn't the steroid supposed to prevent a flare?
Saw the rheumy on day 21 from onset, and was mostly pain free by that time, and changed that day to
Medrol
and labs finally responded.

a question to those of you who have successfully recovered from adrenal fatigue
He put me on
Medrol
, but kept me on 2 mg daily for over two years (which equals 10 mg of natural HC).

Pain in shoulder joints and on top
I've had PMR 2 1/2 years now and just tapered to 0mg
Medrol
, mostly out of fear of what steroids will do, as it's already caused osteoporosis. I still have pain but it's not as bad as when this all began.

Can taking medications skew the results of thyroid testing.
I have Sjogrens disease and am on low dose Prednisalone of 2.5 mg alternate days and also ten weekly injections of Depot
Medrol
80mg. I have also had a recent course of three days Ciprofloxacin 500mg for a biliary infection.

What medications might skew thyroid test results?
As I am on low dose prednisalone, 2.5 alternate days ,plus a ten weekly injection of Depot
Medrol
80 mg I wondered whether it could alter thyroid test results and normalise them. I also have had three days of Ciprofloxacin 500mg per day this week for a biliary infection.

aldosterone and adrenal fatigue?
As a result of my diagnosis (adrenal fatigue), I have been put not only on
Medrol
/HC, but also on estrogen and progesterone. Or is the idea that once your adrenal glands recover, with the help of HC or
Medrol
, not only will they start producing more cortisone, but also more aldosterone...?

Since then I have been on Prednisone,
Medrol
, Remicade, and now will be on Orencia in a few weeks. My rheumatologist believes I am a rheumatoid arthritis patient with an overlap of Lupus. Anyone else with these two diseases please message me with any thoughts. Thank you all so much!

Off Blood Thinners
I'm on a maintenance dose of
medrol
at 2 mg. s and have been hospitalized for flares, when it is " upped". Would like to stay at two until I'm off of it, if possible. I agree with PMRPRO that it is an autoimmune disease, and I find it a difficult one.

adrenal fatigue and how to treat it
Time went by, and now it's been more than two months off
Medrol
...and I guess I am doing ok. Since going off
Medrol
, I have been reading a lot about adrenal fatigue. My hormone doctor says I will need to be on adrenal support (
Medrol
) for the rest of my life.

adrenal support and thyroid medication
I forgot to take them afterwards and, when I still felt OK 24 hours later, I decided to stay off

and see what happened...I expected to crash within 48-72 hours, as I have in the past when trying to wean off

different labs on same drug...?
I was also on 6 mg of
Medrol
daily, after being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue in late 2011. No cortisol levels measured as
Medrol
(unlike HC) won't show up on labs. TSH completely suppressed, but dismissed by doctor as irrelevant when on meds containing T3.
