Hi. I'm off to see the doc tomorrow about pain management. I need to do something as it brings me down, inspires the depression to bring tears and horrid, black thoughts. I have Arthritis in my wrists, thumbs, feet, back and now I've been told I'm at risk for hip arthritis. I'm taking Tramadol,(now under

Likely GCA but not yet diagnosed and scared to death!
The other difference is that unlike last time, I responded well to a shot of Depo-
Medrol
which improved the symptoms, albeit just for a few days. There are numerous reasons why steroids are dangerous for me but my rheumy decided I had to be put on 40mg daily while he organised a biopsy.

Treatment of Systemic Onset JIA with Actemra (Tocilizumab)
My 2 year old Son was diagnosed with Systemic onset JIA on in June 2017. Though the symptoms started few days before diagnosis, pediatric rheumatologist started treatment of SoJIA after ruling out septic arthritis. NSAID - 2 weeks Predinsolone - 4 weeks ( 2mg/kg/day) - Now in tapering

Glioblastoma diagnosed: tapered, stopped Medrol
Hi, i was on
Medrol
for 3 months, diagnosed with glioblastoma. After radiation of 6 weeks, the
Medrol
has been tapered and stopped. I feel tasteless, very weak, have headaches, fever, depression and much more. It has been 2 days after stop. Can I take dolo 650 for this?

Update
I think myself lucky to have an attentive rheumi team. I can ring and leave a message for the specialist nurses / consult or email them (handy if I've got significant changes I can photo), and within 3 working days they get back with feedback. On this occasion they are recommending depo-medrone 120mg

Nutri Adrenals - feedback wanted
Anyway, I spent three years on
Medrol
, taking 6 mg daily at most and 4 mg daily most of the time, and actually did well on it. But it's a powerful steroid and I did not want to stay on it indefinitely, so managed to wean it off.

Hi :) In two weeks, I'm going to start taking
Medrol
(methylprednisolon), corticosteroid, due to my liver problems. My hepatologist told me that I will be on 32 mg at start but then during 2 months I will be geting down to 4 mg, and then I'm supposed to be on 4 mg for 6 months.

Would appreciate some input on newest labs!
I have weaned off
Medrol
for adrenal fatigue, and added adrenal cortex instead, but I doubt that would make much of a difference...I simply do not understand this, as my FTs have not even been close to the upper normal range on this dose before, quite the contrary.

New to MSAA Community
Hello Everyone! I had been diagnosed with RRMS in 2009. Found out this past Thurs. it was wrong, actually PPMS. All these years of unnecessary DMT's, awful side effects and far too many infusions of Solumedrol. Be brave, power forward and as patients NEVER stop questioning your healthcare providers!

Overactive bladder
It is my husband who has Parkinson's, but i see many of you Parkies have over active bladder. The medication cost of Detrol LA,capsules, or it's generic, tolterodine tartrate, is very expensive, I figured it is about $5 a pill. I can't get along without it unless i want to be up 7 times a night to the

Face rash - anything besides the sun??
It finally went down after a dose of
Medrol
and ~2 days. Before the workout, it had been barely noticeable. Total aside: anyone else get that little white stripe across the middle of their nose? Appear about 6 months ago and don't know what's up.

Hi everyone. I have been having the above steroid jabs in my bum. The Rheumatology Nurse does one at the hospital (& between her & my Consultant I have the usual checks). Three months later the next jab is done at my GP Surgery. My last jab was booked at my surgery for 12 July. Fine. Then I received

Groin pain flare = inflammatory arthritis?
I was seeing my rheumy nurse the next week so she gave me a depo-
medrol
injection. About 2 weeks ago it happened again, but much shorter duration. It came on and was over within about 24 hrs, but was the same hip, same pain and same experience generally.

(I should mention at the same time I'm starting Humira, I'm tapering
Medrol
- though I was never on a very high dose, I was on it daily for 4 weeks to keep things under control while on a trip to Italy!) Argh!! Sorry to ramble. But at least I know everyone here understands the frustrations!!
