update
this is an update on the pregnancy scare I’ve taken now 5 urine tests all neg, still no period I am now 7 days late. But I want to also thank everyone that took the time to comment. I’m hoping it’s just hormones or stress. I am stressed and even more thinking I’m pregnant. I have a blood tests scheduled

PSA level vs vasectomy question
When I had my tubes cut, they were not sewn up or cauterized which I believe is standard practice (in states), I elected to just have a .375" chunk cut out of each of them then and everything stuffed back inside and sewn back scrotum. I did this so they would never be able to be reconnected or reversed

urethral constriction
Had chemo and then cystectomy 10 years ago. Last few years, kidney stones then UTIs, until lithotripsy for the stones. But have urethral constriction, so every 4 month I have stents put through my stoma. Has anyone heard of, or had the procedure done for the constriction using Optilume? Supposedly

Hi ….from a newly dx’d comrade from the UK
Drs Initial plan was for removal, tamoxifen & chemo….but that may have changed since MRI Undecided if I should just go for
mastectomy
though and I’ve read that tamoxifen is better for pre-menopausal women. Would welcome any advice or tips on navigating this journey.

BC Update with GP.
First I rang Macmillan and they thought it very odd my cancer had gone from high to low. So rang my consultants secretary and she was not there, the people in charge said they were not qualified to help. I saw my GP today and like myself had a letter with no details at the top, this matters because

Breast cancer interrupted things and I paused my reduction programme whilst I had a
mastectomy
. After surgery I had some respite from my restless legs as my ferretin levels increased which is normal after surgery. They are dropping back now. I have more blood tests due in a few weeks.

CA 27.29 Blood Testing
I had undergone a double
mastectomy
and a full year of chemo. During my twice a year check-ups (every 6 months) I was always given a Cancer Antigen( CA 27.29) blood test, but with this visit this test was not done, I had asked my Oncologist why not, and he said I no longer need the test.

Prominent pathologist at Johns Hopkins on leave, facing bullying claims, WaPo, by Steve Thompson & Katie Shepherd, 10/22/23
Looks to be another case of professional success breeding professional arrogance and familial preference. Seems to be a lot of that going around these days - in all sectors of society. BTW, as a patient, my fav reader comment to the article is: "tell someone that they make a nice anecdote". * * *

Vasectomy as a Chef
Dear ya'll, I'm due to have my op in about 2 weeks time. Excited, as it's something that's been on the cards for a while but never followed through. I am a chef however, and all the sites say, avoid "heavy duties" for about a week. I have written to my manager and she's asked me to define this. I

Medical team determined that I was a good candidate to receive a
mastectomy
which I did on 2/10. Radiation up next for 6 weeks. Pathology reported a tiny amount of cancer found in 1 lymphnode and a tiny amount in posterior margin.

Hey Y'all
I had a double
mastectomy
with expanders placed 3 days later...remember I lost my job. Insurance was only good until the end of month until Cobra was established. The urgency was top priority. Well after surgery we found out my tumor in my left breast was the size of a grapefruit.

Update on Nuclear Scan and where I am at now.
First: thank you all for the kind support I have received since - Much appreciated. To the Nuclear Scan ordered by my GP for suspect spread from bladder cancer to the bones. I got a call from my GP surgery today telling me Dr wanted to let me know, NO bone cancer found. Thant's one worry gone.
