Good morning lovely people.

It will be four weeks on Monday since my radical cystectomy. I was back home after five days! unfortunately back in hospital 4 days later as an emergency. Back home a week later and all is well.

I have fully accepted and adapted to my new life and am working slowly at my recovery. As I feel so well within myself, my family sometimes have to hold me back and remind me what my body has been through. It will be another 4 to 5 months to full recovery. That means that come spring the world will be my oyster! Wonderful!

Have a good weekend. Be good and misbehave.

So pleased to hear that you are home and now doing ok. Remember the πŸ’πŸ‡ , come spring the tortoise will be in the same place as the hare, feeling strong with energy in the tanks.

Thank you. I'll fill my tanks steadily but surely. My two nurses keep a close loving eyes on me! I hope you are feeling well.

I'm progressing slowly. The hip is good, the RA not so much. The past few days I have been on my own, I'm adjusting to trying to cope and jiggle things by myself. Quite exhausting.

Thank you Gnarli. I had a good start. The surgeons and the care team at Eastbourne Hospital were very positive and supportive. I got a lot of encouragement and praise for my roaming walks through the hospital corridors and courtyard gardens.

So pleased you are making a good recovery. Stay well enjoy some winter snuggle cosying with your family and start planning for all the holidays you’ve missed. I went away this year after four years with no holidays and it was food for the soul. Stay well stay naughty (sometimes) and a speedy recovery to a new spring chicken you 😁

More like a slightly croaky old cockerel methinks 😊. But nevertheless still strong(by then)and raring to go. You have to misbehave from time to time, otherwise what's the point of behaving all the other times.πŸ˜‰Thank you for your encouragement.

Maybe you can get some really good books to read or find some craft that you can do during your recovery. But each day that passes you know that you are a little closer to recovery. Sending all good wishes to you.

I'm an avid reader already. In our local library once a week to see what I can find. I'm also going back to learning the blues harmonica. Daily walks and exercises. Never a dull day.
