I thought this was quite an interesting read regarding malabsorption of thyroid medication... link in post.
I actually never given this a thought I don't know why, as seems quite plausible really. I knew of the probability of T4 to T3 conversion being problematic with some individuals and more common In told in those with coeliac disease. Here is the link, apologies if this has been highlighted before. https

TSH increasing despite levothyroxine
The biochemist has commented about poor compliance,
malabsorption
or other medicines. I take 150mcgs of levothyroxine every morning at least an hour before food and don’t take any other medications. The only time is missed was the morning of my blood test.

Blood tests
I’ve also got an issue with
malabsorption
of B12 and don’t seem to be absorbing that either. I’ve been deficient for approximately 6 - years, treated for approx 3 every 3 monthly injections.

Vitamin E recommendations please (HypoT4/coeliac)
Hi, I have seen a few people mentioning Vitamin E supplementation recently for anxiety, and as I also have coeliac disease to go with my autoimmune hypothyroid, and may therefore have a deficient level of Vit E due to
malabsorption
....I would love some recommendations as to brand and dose!

Autoimmune stomach problems & PPI's
Have been given omeprazole PPI 20mg but I'm worried about implications of taking this e.g.
malabsorption
of vitamins & Levothyroxine. Doc didn't say if inflammation was autoimmune related but I've heard antibodies can also attack stomach lining in same way as thyroid.

My story of illness and ‘recovery’
The blood result wasn’t credible, if I didn’t have a
malabsorption
issue. Eventually I managed to cut through the mess and got in front of a GP on the IBS issues. The GP referred me for IBS which by now was immobilising. Crohns, UC and SIBO plus others were tested for.

Paper showing the impossibility of devising a sound dosing schema for hypothyroid athyreotic patients on T4

Symptoms are classic hypothyroidism, struggle with
malabsorption
and painfully long periods. Mum, grandma, auntie and sister have thyroid disease and they're being treated. Other women relatives on both mum's and dad's sides mainly are hypo, but some had PCOS.

Could I have Coeliac disease alongside my under active Thyroid ?
I have mentioned this to my Dr this morning because this is why my b12 maybe low as it causes the
malabsorption
of vitamins. I have also stressed to her that the 50mg I am on is not enough for my symptoms and according to my records on patient access my levels are creeping up.

Low ferritin caused me shortness of breath and thyriod results after increasing my dose
I eat red meat and liver but probably I had
malabsorption
problem. Do you think my low ferritin is the cause of my shortness of breath? Thanks for support.

Hypothyroidism and iron deficient anemia
In my research, I found an article about thyroid function and anemia and it stated that hypothyroidism causes
malabsorption
of iron. Comments would be appreciated.

healing malabsorption possible?
so i've read about antibodies attacking parietal cells and IF, low acid, SIBO, H pylori and maybe the affect these have on b12 absorption. so the solution is to bypass the gut and get b12 in the blood via injection. this is far better then getting PA. but, has anyone looked into healing/treating the
