Hi, I have seen a few people mentioning Vitamin E supplementation recently for anxiety, and as I also have coeliac disease to go with my autoimmune hypothyroid, and may therefore have a deficient level of Vit E due to malabsorption....I would love some recommendations as to brand and dose!
Obviously needs to be gluten free.
Thanks.

Vitamin E is complicated. It is actually a combination of eight different substances - four tocopherols and four tocotrienols - and taking just one of the eight substances is not sufficient for good health.
Synthetic vitamin E is not biochemically the same as natural vitamin E and you can tell the difference from the ingredient lists.
On a supplement label, natural vitamin E is listed as d-alpha tocopherol, d-alpha tocopheryl acetate, or d-alpha tocopheryl succinate. In contrast, synthetic forms of vitamin E are labelled with a dl- prefix.
Both the tocopherols and tocotrienols occur in α (alpha), β (beta), γ (gamma) and δ (delta) forms. Many vitamin E supplements contain only d-alpha tocopherol or dl-alpha tocopherol and miss out the other seven substances.
Thank you...yes I am aware of all the ins and outs of Vitamin E ( I have a horse with deficiency issues, so am well versed in the complexities!)Many different versions come up on searches, so I was just looking for some personal experiences..Thanks.
I’ve just read the same thing so also interested. Did you decide anything? Wondering if there are downsides to supplementing vitamin E? It isn’t something I’ve heard of doing much before
I use bodymanual.com Vit E. It has all 8 (4/tocopherols and 4/tocotrienols). It is good and has raised my Vit. E levels. You have to be careful with Vit. E. It can build up and give you chest pressure/pain/etc. If you get anything that just has "mixed" tocopherols/tocotrienols but does not list the "exact" Mgs and breaks them down then I would steer away.
