Hi all, I'm back with another request for your valuable input. I started levothyroxine treatment for Hashimoto's in February, and at my last review my GP agreed an increase to 62.5mcg (50/75 on alternating days). Things have improved in many areas - I seem to be back to a manageable level of energy in

Helpful information on Potassium for RLS relief
Here is a link on Potassium to help with the symptoms of RLS. I hope this is helpful for some. I take my dose along with Magnesium Glycinate around 8 pm, along with Magnesium oil on my legs. I’m also prescribed Oxycodone 5 mg every 6 hours, along with Baclofen for PLMD. Sometimes, I need to use compression

My story won't apply to everyone, of course, but you may find a nugget worth considering. I've had mild RLS intermittently for forty years until it recently worsened. I'd always managed it with weighted heat, L-Tryptophan, magnesium glycinate, L-Theanine, and if necessary, a little pacing. At age 36,

atrial, fibrillation, and electrolyte imbalances
hi everybody I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and my burden seems to vary between zero and 10% over most weeks, according to my Apple Watch. I’ve spent the last hour this morning, looking into evidence for the association between electrolyte imbalance and a true fibrillation, and the situation

My daughter's Iron panel results
Hello, Could I have help please with these results for my daughter? What does the overall pattern seem to suggest?
Iron
-good and no need to supplement?
TIBC and UIBC
are a bit alarming, but that may be because I don't understand the implications.

Calcium Hyroxyapatite caps: Does anyone take them and please give pros and cons if you can.
I took NOW calcium hydroxyapatite caps 500 mg daily until about a year ago. After going through the bottle containing 120 capsules, I started on Solaray calcium magnesium 2:1 ratio (containing calcium amino acid chelate complex, calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide/ magnesium amino acid chelate complex

Leg cramps at night
I'm on my 3rd different statin due to very painful cramps. Currently on 20mcg of Rosuvastatin which has been fairly ok until recently. I'm now getting excruciating cramps in calves and toes at night.Never known pain like it!I'm taking magnesium tablets as read that could help but nothing really has improved

Feeling Low Today
Hi Guys....just need to get this stuff out of my brain (again). Been working to taper off Clorazepam for a couple of weeks and apparently tapered too much a couple of days ago.....and it wasn't pretty. There are reasons we need to go slow!!! Even though I added the amount back for now, I don't

Latest bloods - asking for your expert opinions before I see the GP :)
In February my TSH done by NHS was 0.19 but I'd been feeling increasingly worse again so my dose was increased to 100mg. The doc didn't really think that was the problem and thought it wouldn't help but I thought it was worth a try. I'd last felt really great at about 0.13ish, several months earlier

Where can I get my mineral levels tested?
I test bloods, including vitamins and iron, regularly. But I have no idea what my zinc and magnesium etc. levels are. Is there a home test kit I can use that doesn't cost the earth?

Am I hypothyroid?
I’m looking for some guidance/information as I haven’t been able to get much clarity from my GP and endocrinologist. I started having all the usual hypo symptoms about 2 years ago; feeling cold, fatigued, weight gain, low moods, brittle hair and nails, skin itching, night sweats, tinnitus, aching joints

blood test - missing bits
HI All The saga of my attempts to get a full test has been achieved by paying 35 quid for a blood draw after 2 failed attempts with finger pricks. Thyroxine stuff all came out in the results first time and has been discussed separately so am only looking for comments on the items below : ferritin
