I also found this half-hour radio interview about genetics and cancer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09rxr3t It's not specific to ovarian and there's nothing about treatments but if you're interested generally it may be worth a listen and there's mention of

Dealing with the loss in memory
Hi, I was diagnosed with TLE when I was 18. The thing that I battle with the most is the mood disturbances, crippling depression and severe anxiety. After 4 years of trying to find the right treatment to manage my moods, I was eventually put on a high dose of 500mg Lamictin and 50mg Topalex. Since then

Pneumococcal Immunisation
Morning all, has anybody had Pneumococcal Immunisation whilst on steroids? I've been offered this as a precaution against pneumonia, septicaemia and meningitis. I'm slightly concerned about its interaction with GCA/PMR and/or steroids.

First IVF appt - what to expect?!
Hi everyone, Apologies if this is already discussed elsewhere...I’ve just had my NHS IVF referral appt at the hospital confirmed by my GP for next month and wondering what to expect. From what I can gather this will be with a specialist/consultant at the hospital that provides the treatment to check

Has anyone successfully weaned off DA meds and feeling ok
As I awaken every morning around 4am I immediately go to this site in an attempt to read everything and anything I can to help me with this awful disorder. Thank you so much for all the helpful info. It has given me some tools to hopefully get a few hours of sleep here and there. I thought things were

Second opinion outcome
Hi everyone, As promised an update on my second opinion. In case you didn’t see it on the original thread, my GP was more than happy to do a second referral, she said she would have suggested it if I hadn’t of done anyway. So I decided to go private as I wanted to make sure I saw the right person and

Questions about transitioning to lower doses of Tramadol while on Pregablin (Lyrica)?
Anyone know the standard dose of Tramadol that works well with Lyrica to eliminate RLS symptoms? I’m on 100 mgs Lyrica and 100 mgs of Tramadol 3 x a day. With that I am RLS free, but my doctor wants me to cut back to 50, 50 and 100. I started titrating down last week to just 50 mgs with my morning

Hi all I’m having a FET cycle and as it’s day 21 of my cycle, starting buserelin/suprefact nasal spray (100mg spray) Having a mental block and can’t work out what to do. My instructions say one spray four times a day. Does that mean in one nostril (so 4 sprays in total) or in each nostril (so 8 sprays

Postpartum Thyroiditis
Hi all! I have a baby girl who is 4.5months old. A couple of months ago I started to get classic hyper symptoms and got myself checked out (I’d seen them before in my sister who was hyper/Graves but is now in remission). My thyroid levels were high and postpartum thyroiditis was suspected as the cause

Embarking on the IVF road.
So after 4 years and multiple attempts with gonal f, an operation and a misscarraige we had a consultation today with the Dr after I over responded (again) this round. The Dr said we could either try a couple more rounds of ovulation induction seeing as it has worked once or we could start the IVF journey

He, Dic Carlson, Another suggestion...
Have you tried or looked into info on Lithium orotate? (This is the mineral form of lithium, not the drug form of lithium carbonate.) Dr. Jonathan Wright has written about it, and here are a few others. There is a lot of info on using lithium orotate, and of course, there is always what people say

Big news for SCA3. Citalopram.
If you have a diagnosis of SCA3 but are not symptomatic then I suggest buying and printing out these research reports and taking them to your doctor. Keep in mind this is only in animal research and very often what works in animals turns out to be less efficacious in humans. The flip side to that is

Hi, Has anybody found a solution to sleepless nights from long term intake of Prednisone. Sleeping pills made me so drowsy and tired that I felt the whole day like a sumby. Tried Magnesium and Valerian drops, but still woke up every hour and couldn't go back to sleep. Thanks
