After av node ablation and pacemaker, I still have a slightly irregular heart beat at times. Does that mean my ventricles are still working a little on their own? It may be PVC's.

Slight Irregular heartbeat
Is it ectopics like skipped beats?
AV node ablation will not stop you feeling palpitations as it won’t stop AF but should pace the ventricles so that you have a steady pulse. Have you had an ECG recently or been to the pacemaker clinic? That’s really the only way to know what is going on.
I had pace and ablate 11 weeks ago and I still get a few thumps in my chest several times a day ,especially at 14.07 and 22.07 , my cardiologist told me it’s my pacemaker rebooting it’s self at these same times every day ,I wasn’t made aware before or after I had the procedures that the pacemaker did this , but if it keeps me well it’s a small price to pay ..
I'd check with your GP, but I certainly still have ectopic beats after my ablation for atrial flutter last year.

How are your ectopics now?
When I’m tired, which is, sadly, far too often thanks to poor sleep, they’re always worse. They don’t often bother me as I’ve had them for so long and they never lead to anything else. I think they probably are, in a way, “normal”.
