Hormonal injections and oral hormones
Can hormone injections like
Lupron
, Zoladex, etc. be also castration resistant? 2) if
Lupron
or Zoledex can be castration resistant, how do we know which one — hormonal injections or oral hormones— is castration restriction?

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I’m currently on
Lupron
and NUBEQA, and completed 6 rounds of taxotere at the end of April (Triplet Therapy). PSA cut in half every three weeks while on the chemo going from 0.944 in January to 0.013 in April.

Weakness in legs/calf muscles?
Just finishing first 6 months on
Lupron
. Despite regular leg exercises, I have incredible weakness in legs/calf muscles, making it very difficult to walk. Anyone else experience this? Is this caused by
Lupron
? Any solutions? Thank you.

As I've written, my husband stopped all treatment this past July after
Lupron
/Xtandi were causing worsening SEs while PSA was doubling/tripling from undetectable. He's now receiving palliative care and just had his first comprehensive bloodwork since the MO's on June 30.

Orgovyx Insurance Approval
I really want to avoid
Lupron
or Eligard since I take two blood pressure meds, one statin and Metformin for type 2 diabetes already. Plus, I have heard nothing but bad things about both. Yes, I realize everyone responds differently.

Gleason score 8 and lots of questions...
He recommended
Lupron
but after I inquired about Orgovyx due to what I had read was a more benign side effect profile, he said that was another option but that testosterone levels tend to build up faster after discontinuation. Anyone have thoughts on
Lupron
vs. Orgovyx?

Xtandi vs Orgovyx
His oncologist would like him to begin taking Xtandi (4 pills per day) and
Lupron
shots (1 every 30 days) to lower his PSA level. The last PSA level test was conducted on August 1st (less than 2 months of meds) showing a level of 5.9.

Questions about ADT drugs and insurance
Will Medicare cover
Lupron
injections under part B as it is not self administered (as opposed to pills)? If so how much will they cover (with a supplement plan). Regarding Orgovyx, since it is a pill and not an injection will it be covered under Medicare part D drug coverage?

Bleeding after salvage radiation
Currently about one year into
Lupron
+ Abiraterone + prednisone. Recently experienced very mild rectal and/or blood in stool. Is this likely due to the radiation, or something else?

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
Also, what has your experience with
Lupron
been and how do you combat the awful side effects? Are there any other treatments besides this?

Two Qs: Benefits treatment; onset of bone pain
PSA kept climbing so I started
Lupron
2 years ago. Worked until recently when PSA spiked. PETscan showed metastasis for first time into torso lymph nodes. Been on Aberiterone and Prednisone for three months now (along with
Lupron
) and appears to bringing PSA back down.

8/4/2023 Update
To review, after 19 months on
Lupron
, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga.

Lupron injection error?
My most recent
Lupron
injection started with the nurse going to give me a monoclonal antibody injection until I pointed out I wasn't to get that. Then I think she missed the deltoid. The injection was close to if not into the tendon at its insertion.

Blood work on radiation and Lupron
Urology physician assistant (PA) gave me a PSA blood lab slip to do prior to my next
Lupron
shot which is about 15 days after completing radiation. She said it was standard office protocol to do PSA test prior to
Lupron
shot.

MO recommendations at Mayo, Moffitt?
Hello - After 7 months of ADT (
Lupron
/abi) my MOs are not offering anything but continuation until my PSA fails, so I'd like to network more; so please let me know whom you think are the best at these two places. Thanks in advance.

Lupron from 3 to 6 months
Hi Fellow PC warriors, Since my PSA is undetectable, less than 0.01, and I’m otherwise in good health with stage 4 and mets throughout, my urologist suggests I go from 3 month injections intervals to every 6 months. He mentioned that the side effects are similar and the only change is going from
