canker sore, low wbc and GI infection
Hi all, I’m nearing 8 months post transplant. Up until last week, things were going really well. My kidney function was the best it had been a gfr of 64 and I was starting to feel a return to normal. I had a low wbc but transplant center wasn’t concerned. And then the SH*T hit the fan. I came down

Preparing for Open Heart surgery
So last year I was diagnosed with a 2cm ASD and was awaiting surgery on the 5th January via catheter. To my shock I was called on the 3rd to be told there had been a mistake and they had realised I also had PAPVD and was now going to be having open heart surgery. I’m still going through tests and am

Hi,I had wolff Parkinson white, suffered years of bad palpitations until I got offered an ablation, unfortunately the ablation wasnt straight forward due to my extra pathway being so close to my AV node, high risk of heart block, anyhow decided it takes the risk as I was told I'd be 5 x more likely to

Do infections cause endo flare / worsening endo?
I think I am starting with tonsillitis again, which I had in September and was so severe I was in a&e twice due to sepsis scare. With the fever and body aches I am getting extreme pain in my pelvis / bum / back which also happened last time - does anyone experience worsening of endo when you have an

Hello from a new member! :-)
Hello everyone! Well, this is a surprise. Up until 2 years ago I had had zero issues with my heart; quite the opposite as I was a pretty fit chap for late 50s, no illnesses, no surgery, no medications, last ran the London Marathon in 2019, and still maintained an unrestricted Civil Aviation Authority

Simvastatin v Atorvastatin
Just had a conversation with my Surgery employed Pharmacist. she asked me if I would object to switching from Simvastatin to Atorvastatin as the Simvastatin was rather an old drug. I was put on it around 2007. I told her to go ahead ... no problems. The following quote is what I found during an ultra

CABG and Memory loss
Hi, it's six week since my triple bypass. My scar is healing well and I'm slowly recovering from the surgery. Two things concern me, my legs are still painfully swollen and causing discomfort the other is my short term memory is shot, I'd laugh at my forgetfulness but I'm beginning to find it scary.

Surgery follow-up appointment
Hi all I had my surgery on the 30th of March, where they found four bits of endo. I did have stomach pains in my first month, but then I had an infection. From the second month after my surgery, I had stomach pains again, although it was at a lower intensity and frequency. Over the last couple of

Adenomyosis
Do you always need a hysterectomy with Adenomyosis? I've just been diagnosed, also with suspected Endo, ovaries 'stuck' together and 6 ovarian cysts. Does it always progress to get much worse and possible endo cancer? I've had thyroid cancer and seen there is a link with Adenomyosis and thyroid cancer

Trimbow
So been on Trimble for a few months, prescribed by my Nurse at the G.P. surgery. Constant sore throat and hoarse voice. She is reluctant to take me off it (don't know why). How she wants me to use a spacer thing. Will try that. If I don't get on with that she said come in to see her as it's probably

Heart valve surgery
My mum underwent heart valve surgery on Monday and she's still on a ventilator 3 days after the operation and they now think she's got a chest infection. I was just wondering if anyone had been in a similar position? And how long people took to recover?

Aphasia
My husband is one month out of his tumor being 100% removed. His aphasia seems to be worse then it was 2 weeks out from surgery. He just started speech therapy this week. Is the decline normal?

? Endo back after lap
I had a lap 12 months ago for deep infiltrating endo (it was in my uterus, pelvis, bladder, bowel and rectum). I’ve got a coil in situ to try and keep things at bay. I was put on hormone tablets for 6 months after surgery which stopped in may of this year. The past few months I’ve been getting sharp
