Positive FIT test

Hi, as some of you may have seen in my previous posts, I have been suffering with slow transit colon the last 4 years. I had a hysterectomy back In April 23 for numerous fibrioids that they thought could be a culprit, when they did the surgery they found my uterus and bowel stuck together with endo and I also had adenomyosis, they removed the endo from the outside of my bowel, ovaries left in.After my recovery, the sharp pain I used to get down the left section of colon was better but I still had slow transit colon which has not improved.

Just before Christmas I was having worsening constipation with bloating that daily laxatives I have to take were not working as well and my gp sent me to a&e as he was concerned I had a partial blockage. A&E consulted surgical team as on examination no stool could be felt in my rectum and they were going to do a ct scan, I ended up discharging myself as the waiting time was awful and they were going to send me home to put me on max laxative dosage to clear things.

Since then things have not been right and I have been getting thin, loose stools with an awful distinct smell, bad smelling flatulence and increasing pain in my left colon. GP ran some routine tests of which my FIT test has come back positive for blood in stool, calprotectin normal, stool bacteria culture normal. The only other thing that is borderline was a type of white cell basophils which was 1.00 (0.01-1) these white cells have never been any higher then 0.01 but its been marked as normal.

I have seen some small dark fleshy looking bits in my stool when wiping but no actual blood. I am starting to worry about what is going on and have one theory that the endo has grown back and penetrated through my bowel. I'm currently waiting for colonoscopy referral. Anyone experienced any of these types of symptoms and test results?

I don’t understand why you would have discharged yourself from hospital, I spent 17 hours in A&E before seeing the consultant then I had to have an operation the next morning, I would have waited as long as it takes if it helped me get better.

They called me when I left and told me they were going to send me home anyway to unblock myself of max laxatives so the end result would have been the same.
