hi my name is Diana I have lupus and I am looking to do a hip dip and bum filler. I and on medication my lupus is topical it only affects my skin making it really dry and also my scalp really dry.
I am on medication once a day It only affects my skins in the sun here in the uk but not when I’m home in Jamaica meaning my skin is really dry and dehydrated .
I’m taking hydroxchloroquine once a day Is this safe for me to do and has any one that has been with lupus done any enhancement to their body?
Many thanks in advance for the information

Hi Diana, please think VERY carefully before undergoing any non- essential surgery. Lupus has a tendency to flare up after invasive procedures, and especially if you are putting something artificial into your body. If you really feel you must have this procedure done at least be certain that you choose a properly qualified plastic surgeon to do it. Good luck 🍀
Hi there, in general, any form of surgery incl dental work - a simple filling, can potentially trigger a flare. It could comprise of fatigue amongst a plethora of other symptoms but it can also be a lot worse. There's a sliding scale of symptoms that can not be predicted.
If you are with a rheumatologist, I would seek guidance from them, first and foremost. If not, speak with your GP.
Wherever you are getting the procedure done, you should declare your lupus because this vital info would have to be shared with anesthesis.
The main takeaway is to speak to your rheumatologist and/or GP plus notify the establishment who will be carrying out the procedure.
