Exhausted
I’ve had a particularly rough time recently with asthma attacks. I’ve currently got no infections, and my peak flow and vitals are fine the last few days, but I feel absolutely exhausted from an asthma attack last week. It’s to the point where I have to lie down after even going down the stairs. How

Provisional diagnosis...does it sound like allergic asthma?
Is daily, chronic phlegm a feature that many people here experience with asthma? I have a provisional asthma diagnosis from GP, and have been on the lowest dose of reliever and preventer inhalers for three months. I am also taking an antihistamine (allergic to pet dander- I have two pets and have done

Joint pain.
Does anyone have a suggestion for joint pain? My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus Radium 223 is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant? Is its purpose to control the spread of testosterone that would otherwise make the cancer

Advice, if possible please, on Sodium Chloride 0.9% nebuliser Liquid.
Hello again. I feel such an idiot. With the cold weather, I have been nebulising with Sodium Chloride 0.9% Nebuliser liquid 2.5ml unit doses. They are in box stating Saline Steri-Neb. Sterile until opened.I had several boxes over from last year. I feel such an idiot. It never occurred to me to check

Advice needed ref statins
Hello all I have had PMR since May 2020, initially on 15mg pred and tapered down to 4mg by April 2022. Then got Covid and everything went a bit scatty. Returned to 10mg and have been tapering, currently on 7mg moving towards 6.5mg. In the meantime my blood pressure has risen and recent blood tests

good blood test results
I was dreading these last blood tests as I’d been not feeling 100% of late for no particular reason. However: I was over the moon to learn that my bloods were ‘normal’. Kidney function even better: sodium going in the right direction and ferritin serum level significantly improved. just one fly

Asthma Flare-up
My asthma has been flaring up over the last week with the usual symptoms of coughing, feeling tight-chested and breathless, so I started my rescue pack of steroids. I saw the nurse at my GP practice on Wednesday, who was less than helpful, she basically told me that because my chest was clear, they wouldn't

MCT Oil
in another thread someone posted today about MCT oil. I hadn’t heard of this and have tried to research it. It seems to be useful in a variety of situations and claims include support in weight gain, increased energy, constipation t and pain relief. Really it sounds a bit of a ‘cure all’. I’m wondering

Asthma Appointment
So I went to see the nurse at my practice today because my asthma has flared up and although my chest is clear she's told me to finish my course of steroids because my peak flow is low (270 usually 450) and I'm tight chested and a little breathless and she's changed my steroid inhaler from Flutiform

Gallstones Newbie here seeking menu ideas 😁
My GP diagnosed gallstones 4 weeks ago after I suffered an attack and referred me for a scan at my local hospital for confirmation. She told me to go to A&E if the attacks get unbearable. I am yet to heard from the hospital with a date for the scan. I'm getting 3 or 4 attacks a week. Shoulder blade

Updated treatment plan for progressing MCRPC
I have started Xgeva and also was able to get a prescription for Estrogel Transdermal gel. Will start Xofigo Radium 223 that was approved last week. I am still taking abiraterone and dexamethasone and it is not working, PSA has been climbing. My Question is, should I switch the abiraterone for

Bug or flare?
Hi everyone.. sorry I know I am a broken record on here! But can anyone tell me their thoughts on this please.. Had a stressful week in court with work last week. Really proud of myself as I managed to get through it with the help of Imodium and enteresogel, was lucky as we didn’t have to meet until
