Listened to two fibromyalgia specialists doctors this morning . They were saying what good results they achieved with patients on this medication.

Does anyone take this and does it help?

I have taken it in the past (had to stop for to side effects when I started menopause)

For me, it helped to turn down the intensity of the pain but did not take it away. However, it does not work for everyone - my daughter tried it and did nothing for her

It is for treating patients that left drugs or quit drinking

I'll check with my GP that till today has helped me with fibromyalgia

All the best

You are right. Just to add some clarification, the dose that is used to treat addictions is more than 10 times higher (50mg and up) than the dose used to treat fibromyalgia pain (usually 4.5mg or lower). Same drug but very different impact.

I have been taking LDN for a number of years and I have found it very useful. I also take Sativex (medical cannabis). Neither of them has serious side-effects and they are both very safe and non-addictive. Both help to blunt my fibro pain and other symptoms. I also take duloxetine, which does little or nothing for my pain, but does eliminate my weepiness. The weepiness was connected with listening to music etc. I don't take any opioids or seizure drugs - too little help with pain, too many nasty side-effects, too dangerous, too addictive.
