Looks like it’s all over 😢
Second FET, positive test on OTD but not looking good, I should be 6 weeks + 2, after 2 days of spotting and mild cramps went to EPU yesterday to say they can’t seeing anything. Blood tests show HCG levels are very low and no where near what they should be. Another blood is scheduled for tomorrow but

What if I got my day 1 period date wrong?
I'm scheduled to transfer my only frozen embryo I got from a previous round. This will be my final try after several years of unsuccessful ivf so I am quite anxious about it. I had a endometrial scratch which had some spotting afterwards but it seemed to stop. My period is irregular anywhere from 20

Needles for lubion
Hi, I've been prescribed lubion to support my upcoming FET and have managed to find it at Asda for the best price, but I need to source needles separately. Can anyone remind me which size needles I need? I remember there were two but can't remember which ones. Thanks

First embryo transfer done against the odds !
Not really a question, just putting it out there after an incredibly anxious 48 hours. We were a foot deep in snow this morning and not sure if the FET would go ahead after so much waiting, but it did. Skeleton staffing at the clinic but so grateful they were able to get in. Thank you to those of you

Managing emotions (sensitive)
I’m in the 2ww from my 4th embryo transfer. OTD is Sunday (12/3/23) but I woke early this morning with a crazy urge to test - I’ve had back to back dreams all night of pregnancy tests and their results which wasn’t desperately restful! Having had 3x chemicals up to now (2 from ivf and 1 natural) I’d

Salt
The British Heart Foundation have recently started to lobby government to put a levy on salt. There’s an interesting article in today’s Telegraph about it. (Sorry not linked it as I wasn’t sure about copyright et al). It describes how many foods have hidden salt. Tinned veg, processed meats and one that

Cyst at baseline scan/no period
I had a miscarriage on 31st Jan. Over 5 weeks later and still not had a period so had a scan today to see if one was due soon so we can start planning a FET for the period after. The scan showed my lining at 3.5mm and no sign of a follicle so they said my period could be over 4 weeks away! That would

Next phase of the plan after first transfer (ectopic)
Hi there. My first FET resulted in an ectopic which had to be surgically removed. I have requested for a lining check after my next period (which we are not doing a transfer on as I have an infection currently and on antibiotics, so using the time productively) as my consultant has suggested a no progesterone

When to expect a period after FET
Hi, I’m currently 6dpt. This is my first IVF cycle but I couldn’t have a fresh transfer because of OHSS. A few days before I have my period, I normally have a bad stomach - not the usual period cramps, it’s more upper abdominal pains. I started feeling the same yesterday at 5dpt. Would it be too early

Final stages of CBD
Hi all My dad is in the final stages of CBD and in fact the Palliative Care Consultant seems to think we have less than 3 months left with him. I am really really struggling with this and can't bear the thought of not having my dad but this illness is the cruellest illness I have ever encountered.

Heart muscle not working properly
I eat a
low
fat
diet
but am putting on weight - 8kg in a year)I also feel bloated. I am asthmatic with a racing pulse and high blood pressure which is what I was being treated for while my heart was apparently struggling. Until a new GP came and has tried to fix me.
