Hi can someone help, I stupidly ate white rice earlier and have heard this is bad in a frozen embryo transfer! Is this detrimental to transfer? I feel really bad!

I have eaten white rice throughout my most recent round, including on the day of transfer, and I got a BFP. I have never heard of it being an issue, and just think about how many people in the world eat rice every day and still have families - you will be fine, good luck x

same here. Iv always had rice. I think what they say is try to keep the bloodsugar levels steady so dont eat anything that will spike it up when you are doing stims. Im like u i read into every little single thing but try to relax and rest assure this wont affect ur outcome

Same, never heard of this and eat rice all the time and am 9 weeks today - we can tie ourselves up in knots about each little thing but honestly outside of the basics (no drinking, no drugs, follow any doc specifics) there's not a lot we can do to impact the outcome.

Best of luck to you 💕💕

I eat white rice, have never heard this? Only food I was advised to avoid for transfers is food you need to avoid when pregnant. Good luck x

You don't have anything to worry about. There's nothing you can do between now and your transfer that will affect the outcome of your transfer. The two most key things are the embryo itself and the uterine environment (less commonly there are things like immune factors that can play a role). White rice is not going to impact anything, but it'd be great if it were that simple. Good luck with your transfer! X

I really worry I have immune issues and that’s why it’s not been working. Thank you for your advice xx

Have you had any testing for immunes? It's often really difficult to pinpoint an exact reason why it's not working because it's such a complex biological process, but I understand the fears behind 'why is this not working?' That question regularly drives me around the bend. Xx

I had an ANA test but that’s it the doctors don’t think it’s immunological. I don’t know what to do it’s so hard x

It's so hard to know what to do, but may be worth voicing any concerns you have again to your doctor x

Try not to stress out. I would be very surprised if I haven't eaten white rice when I've had BFPs. What you do need to follow though is this. (Don't forget you are PUPO) nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-we...

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🙂

absolutely totally fine to eat white rice, white pasta, white bread, white chocolate 🤗 you’ve done the hard part you’ve made the embryo and it’s back/going back where it belongs the only thing we are asked to avoid is what we would avoid when pregnant as it may work but nothing you eat now will make any difference so relax lovely and good luck xxx

It really is! honestly I got myself in a tizzy one time because I chopped a really strong onion in the 2WW and had somehow convinced myself this had ruined our chances! 🙈🤪Your mind goes into overtime but honestly it doesn’t affect anything xx
