My first FET just failed, the embryo grading is 5BB. The medication I was taking 6mg estrogen and 3 Progesterone pessaries. I am 31 years old and have never pregnant in my whole life.
Before jumping to another FET, would like to have any suggestions that what kind of test or improvement I can do next time? The lining was 16mm on the transfer day, is this too thick??
Thanks xx

Sorry to hear that it didn’t work, similar to yourself I had a failed FET and never been pregnant either. The doctor has recommended that I do the ERA, Emma and Alice test. This test shows if you have any bacterial infections in your endometrium, if your microflora is unbalanced and will also reveal your optimal transfer window. I’m just preparing for it now, as you have to do a mock transfer (take all the meds etc) and then on transfer day they do a biopsy. Worth asking your consultant about it. Good luck!
Thank you so much for this info!! This is very helpful ❤️❤️❤️ My clinic doesn't mention this at all, will definitely check with them if I can also do this test as it is worthy to know. Wish you luck as well 🙌
I am sorry your first FET didn't work. Our first one didn't either. What we changed the second time was adding more progesterone and doing a progesterone blood test two days before the transfer. It turned out mine was on the low side, so they increased my Cyclogest dose and added Crinone gel. I think that's what made the difference with the second FET. Good luck!
I did have a blood progesterone blood test one day before transfer and the doctor think the level was ok, and they keep telling me that I am already on the highest level of progesterone dosage (3 Cyclogest per day), definitely will ask them about Crinone gel for next cycle, thanks a lot!! ❤️
Of course! I am glad they checked your progesterone and ruled that out as a reason. I was on 4 cyclogests per day plus the crinone gel but this was because mine was on the low side. Good luck with the next transfer!
Sorry to hear that. I watched this video, youtu.be/mfQMOEyiTb0 , Dr Morris said that "For FET, vaginal progesterone alone results in a significantly lower success rate compared to combined vaginal progesterone and injections."
He suggested" take vaginal progesterone every day, then take progesterone injections every three days is just as successful as taking injections every day."
My clinic originally prescribed only vaginal progesterone to me. After watching Dr Morris's video, I requested to change the vaginal progesterone to injections. My clinic prescribed the Lubion (25mg) injections to me and needed to inject it twice a day (in the morning and evening). So I am going to do the Lubion injections only.
I know there are many factors could affect the result but it is worth to ask the clinic advice and increase every chances to success. I hope my information will help. Good luck. 😉
