What kind of chips?

Activity2004 profile image
Activity2004Administratorβ€’ in reply to

Popcorn type of chips made with chickpeas.πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Ok, you must not be in the UK, here chips are made from potato.. You had me confused a bit. 😊

We have chips also made from potatoes, too.

Yes, I’m in the USA.πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Generally speaking, I think it is

USA chips = UK crisps (and similar snacks)

USA fries = UK chips

β€’ in reply toAnnieW55

But are they French fries in USA, in UK we have chips and French fries. French fries are skinny chips.

Try typing French fries into google (other search engines available πŸ˜€) and pick the Wikipedia page there’s a whole host of interesting things on that page.

β€’ in reply toAnnieW55

Just did that but don't agree with the alternative names, chips and French fries are not the same thing πŸ˜€

What she’s referring to by chips is home fries, large French fries

In the Uk chips as in Pringle’s are called crisps

They are popcorn made from chickpeas.πŸ˜€πŸ‘

I like stuffed vine leaves which I think are the same as grape leaves. I haven’t had any in a while, something to add to the β€œfor a change” list.

They are good and have 10-15 carbs.-- depending on the amount you eat. For two grape leaves, it's 10 carbs.. For three-- 15 carbs.. :-)

Bean dip, made to a hummus recipe ,using half a tin of haricot beans. Some feta cheese olives and flatbread, followed by a pear. Tried to pretend I was in Greece.
