Peppermint oil
Hi, I've bought some peppermint oil capsules today (Colpermin) but I'm a little confused how to take them. Do you just take them for relief during flare ups or are they intended to be taken regularly in an attempt to stop flare ups altogether? I often go a few weeks or more with no symptoms so I thought

Linda has pointed out cold pressed virgin avocado oil for frying with, it has a high smoke point. I need to check out the prices now.
Ok checked the prices, seems to be about double the price of my virgin cold pressed coconut oil. It is for sale on ebay via Argos, so will stick to my coconut oil. I know that Linda has issues with the MCTs in it though. So here is the link:- http://superfoodprofiles.com/avocado-oil-online

IBS relief
I just accidentally stumbled across this blog of IBS suffers. I've had IBS for over 20 years. I have recently discovered some relief, that I thought I would share with you. It won't help everyone but has helped myself and my daughter immensely. I started taking Fennel (capsules) and Peppermint Oil (capsules

Fish oil (DHA) + Lorenzo's oil
This is very interesting, read this carefully, especially the conclusion. I've pasted it below... In conclusion: it was confirmed that supplementation with DHA, in addition to LO and treatment with a cholesterol lowering drug, atorvastatin, increased DHA levels in plasma and RBC of the AMN patient.

My recent pattern has been to have one Ep of af every 2 weeks. Has anybody heard of fleccainaide causing more eps?. I rang the cardiologist

Should I be taking a B Complex along with my injections?
Hi all, So I've seen a lot of conflicting information as to whether I should be taking a B Complex or just folic acid with B 12 injections. I am already taking methylfolate but am going to switch to folic acid as I don't tolerate methyfolate well! (It makes me anxious) but then I've read about how

I am still all for my coconut oil, ghee, and olive oil, only cold on salads, but this article is very interesting.
The article goes back to my thoughts, that no matter what your hdl and ldl levels are, it just depends on how good the hdls work at clearing up the garbage, of the ldls. So your total lipid profile, is certainly not the best marker of your arterial health, they should be checking the elasticity, and

Hi Lupies! So we can talk about all of the bad things that happen with Lupus BUT this time I want to encourage us to talk and think about the GOOD things we can do to help us cope. What are some things that you do that brings you comfort and peace while battling this stupid disease? For me, I love

Who do I trust???
I have some family members set on the idea that medications are bad for you and doctors are out to harm you! I've tried everything to NOT have to take medication BUT nothing has worked!!! SO....It's medications for me at least for now. I believe natural remedies work for some people but not for me. However

Humidifier
Did you know you can make a humidifier to fight your winter colds with your slow-cooker? Just take your slow cooker into the bedroom, fill it with water and add either eucalyptus oil or a dollop of Vicks vaporub. Then, turn it on low with the lid off, and you will wake up breathing much easier.
