Does anyone have any experiences with using the pill to help with pain.
Hi - Following surgery in April I am still experiencing quite a lot of pain. I have started acupuncture which appears to be helping. At a follow-up appt last week my consultant has suggested I start to take a combined pill - he mentioned Loestrin 20 or Gestodene.... Any thoughts or experiences would

Struggling with the Pill
After going to see the Gynae for suspected endo I was refused a laparoscopy until I had had three months back to back on the combined pill. The first month I was on Microgynon 30 but I felt horrendous, really sick and dizzy and couldn't keep food down. So I went to the doctor who changed me onto Loestrin

Ok, sorry to be a pain posting again about my situation. You all know I had bloods done in August last year TSH 5.35 (0.35-5.5) FT4 11 (7-17) I went private with Blue Horizon in January and ... TSH 6.54 (0.27-4.2) FT4 14.8 (12-22) I then had a re test done 7 weeks later in March, which I will post

Coming off the combined pill
I always had heavy periods but 6 years ago they got heavier and very painful. Everytime i stood up I'd feel a gush, small clots.. mid cycle was agony and I'd spot. I had a smear, scan and saw a gynaecologist who said I was fine and it was an age thing. I was 30 at the time. It caused me intense anxiety

Could I be pregnant
I really need some help or experience. I am on loestrin 20 and I have noticed that at some point in the last two weeks I have missed taking 4 pills. On Saturday just gone I realised in the night that I missed the two pills prior to that (which equates to 2 or the 4 pills) other 2 I'm not sure when they

Medication not working after having baby
After years of many doctors appointments and trying many different types of medication, I finally found something that worked well for me. This was taking the Loestrin 20 pill 'back to back' for 3 months and also taking Mefenamic Acid and Tranexamic Acid to control the pain, this worked great for me

Has anyone used Loestrin as BCP here?
Hi all, I have been doing an extensive research on contraception methods for endometriosis cases. I need something that goes out of my organism quickly (therefore implant and injection are out of the question) but I am really scared of coil. I have tried different pills (before being diagnosed) but

Is my endo back already?
I'll try to keep it brief. After a horrendous 5 years of pelvic pain and many more years before that of horrendous periods along with every other symptom endo comes with. Also after years of being mis diagnosed and ignored! I was finally diagnosed by lap op last November with severe stage 4 endo and

Spotting whilst on Loestrin 20
I was started on Loestrin 20 at the end of June for pelvic pain (which i believe is endo). I was told to take the 3 packs back to back. I am half way through my 2nd pack and have been spotting for a week. Is this normal or should I go see my doctor. I have also been getting headaches, feeling very nauseous

Bleeding on the pill
I was started on Loestrin 20 for right sides pelvic pain and ovulation/period pain whilst the doctors investigate my pelvic pain which I believe is endo. Endo, sex and the pill - is the universal advice 'just carry on taking it back to back'?
Yo. 22, endo suddenly came on around a year ago, was lucky enough to get diagnosed quickly and had a laparoscopy where 'moderate' amounts of endo tissue were removed. Barely any pain since, but I've been taking a low dose pill, Loestrin, for about 10 months and have only had one break in that time

Just been diagnosed with endo
Hey guys, I thought I'd share my story. I'm 21 and was diagnosed with endometriosis when I had an emergency appendectomy 2 weeks ago, I saw a gynae in december 2012 and they suspected I might have endo but referred me for a hysteroscopy that I didn't end up having as I slipped through the net. It was

Success!
My endometriosis seems cured for now, since having my son on 30th September 2012. I had an endometrioma in my right ovary measuring 5 to 6 cm and was 1.5cm after drainage as MRI showed cyst was still there 6 months before becoming pregnant. Had an ultrasound scan 2 weeks ago because was getting ovulation
