I am on loestrin 20 and I have noticed that at some point in the last two weeks I have missed taking 4 pills. On Saturday just gone I realised in the night that I missed the two pills prior to that (which equates to 2 or the 4 pills) other 2 I'm not sure when they were from. Anyway the Saturday morning me and my partner had sex, it was the evening that I realised this and therefore took Friday and Saturdays pills on Saturday night in one go. Looking at my last 'bleed' and calculating ovulation my most fertile would have been this past weekend, however aware that the pill stops you ovulating and i'm not sure when the mysterious 2 pills were missed I don't know if this counts or not!? Moving on yesterday I noticed that I have a brownish pink discharge when I wipe myself although my 'period' isn't due until next Friday (ish)
Sorry to go on but I really need to know if anyone has experienced the same and what the outcome was. I took a HPT yesterday which was negative.

If you miss any pills in your packet then there is a risk of pregnancy. If this does happen and you choose to have sex you should use a condom to make sure you are protected. I would recommend taking a pregnancy test three weeks after the unprotected sex to check to see if you are pregnant.
Another quick question. The doctors tested my blood to see if I was pregnant, it came back negative however the blood test was done 9 days after I had sex. Would this have been too early for HCG level to show?
The hCG hormone levels will start being seen on blood tests 11 days after implantation, which is usually a week after conception. This isn’t a hard and fast rule, so it may take a woman’s body a little longer or shorter to start producing the hormone in sufficient levels for it to be detected on a blood test. So it may be the blood test was done too early. A urine pregnancy test would be accurate 3 weeks after sex, or if your period is late, lighter, or shorter than usual. It may be best to go back to your doctor if you are still concerned
