Beginning the journey
Hi all, Apologies for the rambling of my first post but I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me please. I’ve always suffered from painful periods - to the point where I would vomit with the pain in my teenage years but once started on the pill (Loestrin 20) this became manageable and I’d take

Brevinor or Norimin?
Ladies has anyone tried Brevinor or Norimin combined pill please? I have been on Loestrin 30 for many years with no issues but it's now been discontinued unfortunately. Looking for similar low estrogen pill as Microgynon made me feel awful when I tried that before so don't want it again. Thanks.

Pelvic pain, birth control and laparoscopy
I was started in Lo loestrin (birth control) about three months ago due to intense pelvic pain and the finding of an ovarian cyst (via trans signal ultrasound). When I started taking the pills, everything was fine and I didn’t have any spotting or anything for the first month. I got to my first period

I took my pill for 3 months and then had my 7 day break but only had brown discharge for 1 day I had also met up with my boyfriend so was wondering if I was still protected during my break also is it normal for that to happen because I took it for so long? I have started taking my pill again as the break

I'm currently on loestrin but had to add 2 x 5mg does of norethisterone a day to manage endometriosis symptoms , my question is long term am I better off having no loestrin and just having norethistrone ? Which one whould have a better effect on the endometrial leisons ? Not fussed about the contraceptive

What is wrong with me??
Hi everyone, I've been scouring forums for days trying to find answers but I'm at a loss. This is a fairly long story so apologies in advance! 5 years ago I started getting recurrent UTI'S once a month, the doctor's would give me antibiotics for a week & send me on my way. After maybe a year of this

what options are there for my daughter?
Hi, my daughter had had increasingly painful periods to the point of passing out with the pain. To put this into perspective, she has a lifelong chronic pain condition and regularly dislocates joints so you know, if she says if hurts, it really does hurt. She was put on Loestrin just over a year ago

Contraceptive pill to stop period
Hi I currently have an endometrioma - I've been told I need surgery but in the interim (I'm struggling to get through to my consultant) I'm keen to stop my periods as I'm already in quite a lot of discomfort and have a rather bloated stomach. After a previous surgery for the same thing I took Loestrin

In need of some advice
I’m 4 months post-lap for endo and I’ve still been having quite severe pain and irregular bleeding, but things have been getting worse lately. I’ve been back to gynaecology and they’ve said they don’t think there’s any issue and that it’s normal and hormones (they haven’t done any scans or tests) and

On birth control but doctor wants me to take Tranexamic Acid. Worried!! Anyone have to take this before while on birth control?
Hi everyone, I’m pretty new here and desperate to hear if anyone on birth control ever had to take Tranexamic Acid? Each medication heightens the chances for blood clots and both of them together probably isn’t good. I have been having this prolonged bleeding which seems to be stress induced for about

Loestrin 20 - Updated experience
Hi All, I thought I'd update you regarding my current experience on Loestrin 20. I'm now on my 3rd month and feel so much better...!! I love the fact that I did not get a single period or spotting so far! And this is already pretty great for me of course. Sadly the PMS and other Endo symptoms/pains

16 and Unsure where to turn.
Hello, I’m recently turned 16 and I think it’s best if I explain my situation on here: I got my period about 10/11? It was okay for the first one or two but then out of no where I was getting incredibly painful and heavy periods; going through max absorption tampons in less than an hour and getting

Loestrin 20 - experience
Hi girls, just thought I'd share my short-lived experience on a new pill, after the horrid 4 months ordeal I had with Cerazette.. I'm on day 5 of Loestrin 20 and I feel SO MUCH better in general. I feel more energetic and did not get many side-effects at all. Only on day 1 I felt dizzy and felt chest

Hi ladies hope you are all good !! I just need some advice on the pill or any type of hormone treatment I have been on loestrin 30 for 6 months now and tbh it’s the only pill I’ve tried with lesser side effects but the mood swings and depression are still the same as with any pill, I was wondering if
