Am I really fibro?
I am 29 and was diagnosed with fibro only within the last 12 months, can't remember exactly when... my sister-in-law has fibro and she has it seemingly much worse than me and for that reason my brother and the family are inclined to believe I have been misdiagnosed. It all seems to fit but I am confused

MD Anderson/Mayo or Peter MacCallum for treatment?
Hi all, My husband is just diagnosed with CLL with WBC at 49, Platelet at 77, enlarged spleen 20 cm and enlarged liver 17 cm. 70% lymphocytes in bone marrow. The FISH test is not available yet until next week so the treatment plan is also not available. But seem that he’s on Stage IV under RAI classification

Sterilization before Eylea shot
Hi all. I am in the USA. I have previously read that, in Europe, Iodine is used to sterilize & prep the eye just before the shot, but some people have a reaction to the iodine & must switch to something else. My Retina Specialists here in the USA use Betadine. For a long time it was fine with me,

Thyroid Nodule Testing is endless
Hi Guys I'm brand new here and desperately hopeful that I will find others in a similar situation who can reassure me that this endless waiting for a diagnosis is normal. I presented to my GP in June this year with what I was concerned were symptoms of hypothyroidism - Sudden weight gain, constipation

Pain relief
Hi all, it is coming up to the dreaded period week and I can feel the pain arriving already. I was wondering if anyone takes any painkillers in advance/before the worst of the pain sets in. I was off work for 3 days last month and looking for new ways of pain management. I'm awaiting a laproscopy and

Not living with RLS
Hi I'm writing this as I have now been awake for 36 straight hours. I'm beside myself due to my RLS and PLM. Last night after my partner had gone to bed I tried to sleep, but was unable too. The nasty sensation in my thighs, my shoulders and my feet had me walking on my treadmill for 3 hours, I cooked

Appointment with surgeon
Hi I have my appointment with the surgeon tomorrow and just wondered what to expect/ask. I have been referred by my endo as he asked me if I wanted surgery or RAI, even though he was trying to push me towards RAI i eel that surgery might be best. Just wondered what sort of questions I should ask. Thanks

What could be causing my dizziness?
Hi. I haven't posted before so I hope it's clear to read! So, I'm having a problem with dizziness, which can last all day but only seems to happen occasionally. This is combined with dry mouth and sleep disturbance (also spinning). Audiology have tested me and can't find any problems there, so what

OPERATIONS WITH RLS
Has anyone suffering from severe RLS undergone a hip or knee operations? I have had both hips replaced and have just got home from having a knee replaced.. It is quite apparent that nursing staff do not know very much about RLS and the effect that it has on the healing process of such operations.

Garlic and whole wheat bread are helpful
I noticed that my wife's spaghetti sauce seemed to help my RLS. After a few weeks I realized that it was the garlic in the sauce that seems to make a difference. Garlic alone will not get me safely through the night, but when combined with 24mg of codeine, 1.5mg of ropinirole, and 200mg of gapapentin
