Garlic and whole wheat bread are helpful

I noticed that my wife's spaghetti sauce seemed to help my RLS. After a few weeks I realized that it was the garlic in the sauce that seems to make a difference. Garlic alone will not get me safely through the night, but when combined with 24mg of codeine, 1.5mg of ropinirole, and 200mg of gapapentin, it makes a substantial difference. So 90 minutes before bedtime I take one large clove of garlic and a piece of whole wheat bread, since that bread also seems to provide some benefit. Please give this a try and let me know if it also helps you.

That's great, garlic does have some good qualities. Have you tried the capsules, they might be easier to ingest?

I have not tried any capsules.

They're both decidedly off the autoimmune protocol, of course. Having consumed enough gluten to have become gluten-sensitive, I'm not sure it isn't at the bottom of at least part of my problems. The Koran advocates high garlic consumption, but its immune boosting properties are thought to be against it in autoimmune conditions.

This shows the diversity of this condition. Garlic is the worst thing for my restless legs. My wife slipped one clove into the sauce last night without telling me to test it out and it set it right off again.
