I’m post op after having a knuckle replacement, (4th. Oct) given codeine, that I only took for a couple of days as felt sick taking them , I’m now taking ibuprofen as an when I need them , but feeling very off , I’m on 100mcg thyroxine & 18.75 t3 , can painkillers effect the absorption? I try to them well away from my thyroxine meds . Not due to see my consultant until 17th November, also getting lots of pins and needles and muscle ache .

Ibuprofen is not known to affect absorption of thyroid hormone replacement, but some NSAIDs can affect free and total hormone levels.
