I said I was not happy about it and she said the usual because my TSH was very very low she had to do it. On pennyannies great advice I said in the nicest way do you know I have had RAI

Here is an extract what I read on Gutsense.org re salt

Changing from Levo to NDT
Hi All, Can I ask those of you that did not get on well with Levo and changed to NDT, what changes did you notice? Especially those who have had either TT or RAI. Just curious. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I’ve had some test results back. I had RAI in 2011 for hyperthyroidism and I’m therefore hypo. I’ve never really felt healthy since and in more recent years have got worse with aches and pains, anxiety, low energy levels, weight gain and more. So as you can see, B12 is low so I know what

Will I ever feel like my old self again?
Hi I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a TT and had RAI last month. I thought after RAI I would magically return to my old self but it just hasn't happened. Im constantly worrying that the treatment hasn't worked, I don't find out until the end of the year when I have my scan. I try to keep myself

Conditions of the brain...
Have suffered from RLS since my teens (I'm 50yo now). Sometimes it gets so bad, I get it in my arms & face as well. I had epilepsy until my late teens & also suffer from bipolar disorder. The only relief I get is to take codeine. It's the only thing that works. All of these conditions are based on

Hi everyone, am new to this, I just wondered if anyone else suffers from this with Graves’ disease
I’ve recently been diagnosed with graves, am not on any treatment at the moment after having iodine treatment before Xmas. Does anyone suffer from joint pain? My hands and feet ache a lot. And I feel like my legs are really heavy , I am struggling to get regular blood test done because of the COVID,

Pleurisy? Long post
Hi, new here. 6 weeks ago I went to A&E with severe chest/ left rib pain and vomiting. Without performing an x-ray on me, I was told that it was a spinal disc that was protruding into my rib cage. They said this could have been as a result of giving birth just 9 weeks ago and my posture changing? I was

Self medicating - Your personal experience and advice appreciated
Fed up with my local NHS GP's approach to my hypo symptoms which led to a personal wobble/sulk/hissy fit at my last appointment in January which subsequently lasted until last week when I was due a 'medication review' before my Levo would be released I once again am seeking the wealth of knowledge from

Is it normal to be in THIS much pain?
The pain is crippling. I’ve had 2 ultrasound scans which showed nothing. The pain comes and goes in waves. On a bad day it’s really bad. The last 7weeks the pain seems to be getting worse. I’m waiting for a date for my laparoscopy. Is it normal for the pain to be mild one day and extreme the next day

What would you do right now?🤯🤯🤯
Can someone provide support or advice right now on what you would do. I’m sat here going out of my mind. I am in agony I could cry. Yesterday attended the hospital for a doctors on call app, she checked me over, prescribed me strong codeine, told me my stomach is tender and swollen (something I already

The Importance of Nutritional Factors and Dietary Management of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
This paper was written with specific reference to Poland. For that reason, there will be elements which are inappropriate in other countries. My main aim in posting is not to distribute the advice contained so much as to highlight that there are at least some people who recognise that there are issues

How much iodine should be taken
Does anyone know what a therapeutic dose of iodine is? David Brownstein treats thyroid disease with large doses but the was a recent docuseries by Alan Christianson saying the exact opposite and that it is too much that causes thyroid disease. The docu series is finished but the Q&A is still on YouTube
