Co codamol/ codeine. Is this okay for heart patients for temp pain relief?
Pretty bad back pain. Anybody know if Codeine is fine for the majority of heart patients and the meds we all use?

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
In order for radio-iodine treatment to work, the radioactive iodine has to be taken into the target tissue. "Avidity" is how strong the uptake of iodine into the tissue is. The higher the avidity, the better at absorbing iodine, and the more likely the treatment is to be successful. Hence understanding

When I was first diagnosed the names we followed with great care were Dr Kanti Rai, Dr Terry Hamblin, and Dr Michael Keating. These men were the true pioneers in diagnosing CLL and providing some relief from this disease, about which little was known previously. Thus it is with sincere thanks that

I have all the symptoms of endometriosis but all tests / surgeries are coming back clear. I am awaiting

Restless Legs Syndrome
I have RLS and take codeine 15mg at night. My ferritin level got too high last year so no longer on iron supplements. Wondering how successful ALA is and if it is what dose and what time to take it. Thanks in advance

Worrying about symptoms
Diagnosed with Endo on pelvic wall nearly 3 years ago now. In the past year my symptoms have increased drastically. Heavy, painful periods and spotting randomly (on the combined pill). Lower back pain is excruciating it swells physically. Been to physio and pain management for this, they just say MRI

RLS - Q&A
Hi RLS survivors I am continuing my Pregabalin journey and wanted to check in with this community to ask out loud various questions circling around my head. The good news is that Pregabalin is making a difference. I get some relief from jumpy legs at night even on a low dose (75mg) What I am experiencing

AF and Arthritis
Hi everyone long time no post! Pleased to say the AF has been quite stable over the last 6 months or so, a few blips here and there but usually down to lack of sleep, bugs and dehydration! However over the last 2-3 months my osteoarthritis has been getting steadily worse to the point I've had trouble

Radioactive Iodine
Hi. I'm nearly 70. male. Previously well, 4 months ago I developed palpitations. Turned out to be atrial fibrillation. Bisoprolol stopped it. They took an armful of blood and amongst all the normals my TSH was unrecordable, T3 26 (3.3-6.1) T4 49 (11.5-22.4). With Carbimazole my T3 is now 5.1 and

Iodine?
I am very concerned for my fiancé who seems to be aging in front of my eyes. He is always cold, his hair is falling out, he is gaunt, and his memory has diminished, he will be 60 in a few months. I watched a video last night with Richard Vobes and Clive de Carle a Nutritionist, he talked about iodine

Shingles - does anyone have any advice?
morning all It’s been quite a ride…my ear started bothering me a bit on Monday . Just a small uptick in tinnitus which I tried to ignore. By Tuesday I was a bit worried because I have had total hearing loss in the past due to auto immune attack which was only (partially) restored due to mega doses of

Help please
I had cellulitis in both legs about 2 months ago. This has left me with open wounds and fluid running down my legs. I have other health issues and I can only have cotton against my skin. I literally can't eat, sleep or drink anything but water because of the pain and I can't deal with the wound care

Continuing problems after RAI treatment
Fifteen months ago I had RAI treatment to destroy my thyroid as the Consultant said it could no longer be treated with carbimazole as it was affecting my white blood cell count. So eventually, despite not wanting to, I had the treatment. As I had had an underactive thyroid for 12 years before it changed

Pregabalin concerns
Hi RLS survivors Update to previous posts: GP has prescribed Pregabalin for RLS. Currently been advised to take two 25mg tablets before bedtime. First night was great. No symptoms but still some fractured sleep. Since then, my legs have been truly awful. Jerking, moving from 2am/3am until morning

Is it Gallstones?
hi, I’ve been experiencing upper right pain under my rib that radiates into my upper back. (Feels like I have a bag behind my ribs - Strange I know) I’ve become feverish but no temperature. Doctor has given me 30mg of Codeine Phosphate to take but it isn’t helping the pain. Anyone recommend stringer
