Diagnosed with Endo on pelvic wall nearly 3 years ago now. In the past year my symptoms have increased drastically. Heavy, painful periods and spotting randomly (on the combined pill). Lower back pain is excruciating it swells physically. Been to physio and pain management for this, they just say MRI shows nothing.. Put on naproxen briefly but that doesn't help, so take codeine regularly.
Keep getting a tugging pain in my right ovary, last internal ultrasound shows its 'non mobile' and also my ovaries are heavily polycystic. Also keep getting frequent uti symptoms, sent off to lab but no infection present..
Constipated everyday, using movicol sachet and dulcolax to help with this. Frequently get anal bleeding and discharge, sorry if TMI.
So still waiting around the 10 month mark now for gyne appointment. Worried about my symptoms, especially the back pain and the fact there's been no explanation found for this.. Feel as tho my Endo has gotten worse and the fact I have polycystic ovaries now is contributing to this?
Gp says she feels gyne will be reluctant to do another surgery this soon and as last surgery only found moderate Endo on my pelvic wall.. I am worried I have Endo on my bladder and potentially bowel now tho.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions/thoughts or if anyone has gone through anything similar.
Thanks for listening sorry it was long.
Many thanks Fay x

Sorry you are going through so much stuff, but afraid I can’t offer much help.
It does sound as if the endo could be affecting your bladder and bowel. With me the effect on my bladder is frequency and urgency of urination, and also pain after emptying a full bladder. The bowel symptoms are pain with constipation- located wherever the blockage is- and also pain in a specific location where the bowel is “stuck” to other organs. Similar to your pain with your ovary.
Codeine is quite constipating, have you tried any alternatives other than naproxen?
Has your GP checked you out re the rectal bleeding and discharge?
Hope your appointment comes along soon and you get some help.
Thanks for your response, at the moment I just feel in a sort of limbo so it's nice to be able to talk to people who understand. I also get those same symptoms when it comes to my bladder and bowel.
All I have tried is codeine and naproxen, willing to try any other suggestions though.
My gp has, at first she said I had an anal fissure but reluctantly have been back twice since (these appointments being months apart) and she has no explanation.. says it could possibly be IBS.
Your GP should be able to advise you on alternatives. Most of the opiate drugs like codeine are constipating. Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory drug and there are others of that type. I did well for a long time on diclofenac. If you are taking it regularly it is a good idea to also take something like omeprazole to protect your stomach. If you are just taking it during your periods, it is best with any anti-inflammatory to start a few days before your period to build up the effect. Ibuprofen is the same tyoe of drug, but available over the counter,
There are other types of meds that treat nerve pain such as antidepressants like amitryptyline in low doses. It can make you sleepy, best taken in the evening,
It does sound as if it is a specialist opinion you need though. Xx
