For example, if a person was suffering from depression, knowing the

Hi, I'm sorry, I only seem to post when I'm in crisis.. Long story short, my shearwave elastography was 1.57cm/s which they said was F0/F1 & they didn't see any evidence of portal hypertension on the doppler ultrasound. Spleen was 9cm. But in the past few days I've developed 2 obvious spider nevi on

Liver transplantation for alcohol-related liver disease in the UK: revised UK Liver Advisory Group recommendations for referral
There was a time when a person who required a
liver
transplant
through alcohol abuse would have to show a commitment to a life of sobriety, and prove that they had not consumed any alcohol, or alcohol-free substitute drinks for at least 6-months.

Omicron subvariants: New study gives Evusheld and Sotrovimab the thumbs-up
An in vitro study of several antibody therapies by Japanese researchers found diminished neutralisation of the Omicron variant and particularly of the BA.2 subvariant. Now a study at Washington University indicates that Evusheld and Sotrovimab both retain neutralising activity, while reducing viral load

Nicotine as a Nootropic, and Ways to Get it Without Smoking
Nicotine gets a bad rap because it's associated with smoking and addiction. But if you take it safely and in the right way, its benefits might surprise you. There’s a lot more to nicotine than smoking and addiction. Like caffeine, it’s a powerful smart drug, and when you get it at low doses in its pure

Pulmonary Hypertension
I’ve just returned from a pre lung transplant check up at Harefield. Last seen in November when all was ok except pulmonary hypertension was noted. The pressure was 40 mm of mercury. Normal is 25. They weren’t too bothered as walking to the room could have raised it. However today I needed a wheel chair
