It's back what supplements are ok?
Hi all, Budge up everyone, I need a place at the PMR table again. My last Pred was taken in December 2016 or so I thought. My osteo arthiritis flared a couple of weeks ago but after three days of Flarin it didn't calm down. I noticed after a while a few familiar shoulder twinges and booked a telephone

Working with cirrosis
My husband was diagnosed with decompensated cirrosis the beginning of December 2021, he was in hospital for over a week, with jaundice and ascities, had a biopsy and a drain, medication has kept the fluid at bay and so far he has not had to have another drain. He has abstained from alcohol for nearly

MS hug after contrast dye?
I've had more MRI's than I can count, both with and without, but today's didn't go too well. It was later in the day than usual, so I didn't get my standard afternoon nap. After the MRI was finished, I had a lot of trouble just sitting up on the bed. It was like my body was frozen in place. In a short

Massive setback…😡😢😡😢😡😢
Just got word from the transplant team that they now consider me too high a risk for a double lung transplant. As some of you may remember the assessment work up flagged up a calcification build up in a heart vessel ( LAD) which needed sorting. I subsequently went to the Harefield for angioplasty and

How fast can f2 fibrosis progress f4 cirrhosis?
Hello. I have another question; hoping someone can enlighten me. In 2019, F2 fibrosis with severe steatosis was diagnosed. Fast-forward to December 2021 and a fibroscan showed F4 cirrhosis. Can the liver degenerate that quickly? Either the initial 2019 assessment was underreporting or the December 2021

Transplant Assessment over and out (almost)

Cirrhosis’ of the Liver
On Friday my wife and I got so awful news that she has cirrhosis of her liver. it’s described as fatty, and scared the consultant said it is partially reversible. My wife is overweight with a BMI of 41.9🙁 We are going to Slimmers world every week. Any help and advice would really help.

cirrhosis and edema / ascites
My partner diagnosed 22.12.21 with alcoholic cirrhosis stopped drinking on that date. Since then has been having 3 weekly drains and wasn't able to have diuretics due to low sodium. Was hospitalised last Friday due to extreme edema in feet, legs and scrotum. Has been on IV diuretics as sodium now OK

Should I test? After a tattoo
I recently got my kids names tattooed on my wrist. I went to a clean shop one I’ve been to before and I used vegan ink. I still have this growing fear that came after about hep C and Hep b.

Prednisolone Withdrawal Symptoms
I was taking 15mg of Prednisolone and was then put on 9mg of Budesonide at the same time with the idea of stopping Pred & staying on Bud. Trouble is they told me to stop Pred abruptly after one week without tapering. Last night & today I feel very, very rough. The only way to describe it is like I've

Liver Transplant – Letter to Donor family – totally gutted.
I had my
liver
transplant
back in 2016 due to alcohol abuse and Hepatocellular Carcinoma. For a good 10-months post-transplant, I suffered terribly with survivors guilt and PTSD. I honestly felt that writing that letter to the donor family was an honest reflection of my gratitude.
