Yes. Although this is very encouraging, I don't understand why it's being called "first of it's kind." Pluripotent stem cell implantation in humans is already being tried in several places.

They showed proof of concept with the rat study. Now how long for phase 2 and phase 3, and the fund raising between phases? Ten years, give or take I suppose.

I am saying that they are already treating humans with ipsc cells, then why is this study still on rats?

I'm aware of one other trial that was very similar to this. Go to YouTube and search for "Doc vs Parkinson's". There are two others that are behind as far as I know. The one that was funded Doc and he was the only one in the study. It waa successful and he is recovering from Parkinson's even now. He's working with a group affiliated with Harvard to put together a larger human study which should be in it's early stages.
