Moderate Fatty Liver with normal liver enzymes
I was diagnosed with NAFLD in 2018 while undergoing gallbladder removal surgery. I had been thin most of my life and had only “packed on the pounds” in the last 4-5 years, and wasn’t overweight at the time of the surgery, so she thought it was odd to see my liver so fatty. My PCP sent me for ultrasounds

Liver Stent/Tips
Hi, I had a tips in May 2022, within 6 weeks it failed and I had urgent surgery to correct it in July 2022. I've been told my new TIPS is very big. Since then I have felt absolutely amazing. However, past week I've had a build up of ascities - not huge but enough to see my weight increase by 7lbs. I

compensated cirrhosis
I know I’m the past year I’ve had lots of questions and concerns with the possibility of liver disease/cirrhosis. And this group has been very helpful. I’ve had multiple ultrasounds in the past few years. Some noting a minimally heterogeneous liver and the latest two note a normal appearing liver. I’

Ggt of 110
Hello,The GP surgery phoned up yesterday just a day after I had an LTF. Apparently my GGT was 110 though the ATL only 29. Why would this be? I have cut back in the last six months (used to drink 25 units a week) but admit I did drink quite a bit of wine in December, Xmas etc. I also ate more sugars

No figures
Reading all your helpful posts I realise I have no facts about my husband's condition. You quote test results, levels etc, and we have nothing. Could be England vs Scotland or USA vs UK,private vs NHS, but we've not been given anything. He went into hospital recently with ascites and I think

Had labs about a year ago and all was perfectly normal. I drank a bit heavily in the pandemic but have since slowed down and stoped completely this month. Anxiety is though the roof. No family history of liver issues, or pain or other symptoms to note of. Appreciate any advice, I’ll be seeing my doctor

Food question
Hello everyone I have been diagnosed with pbc for almost 2 years now. I am not sure which stage I am as I am too scared to get the biopsy. I am guessing its an early stage as my bilirubin and albumin are in the normal range and my doctor said so far my liver is ok. My problem is that I am struggling

UTI’s
Hello, I have had 3 or 4 UTI’s since visiting Zagreb in May 2022. I had ‘retention’ of Approx 2000ml when a catheter was fitted. I have had a ‘TURP’ prostate operation in November 2022 and I am now trying to a) reduce the blood in my pee and b) the number of times in the day that I have to go. The Doctor

Hello, In Jan 21, I was told I had fatty liver. With Covid and everything, I next saw the consultant in August 22. In the time between appts I had gained 25kg due, in part, to gyms being shut and a thyroid condition that I had only just been diagnosed with (though had for a while.) Today I had a

calories or .....
Should I reduce calories and eat normal, or should I completely stay away from bread, soda, fats, cheese and sugar for second-degree cirrhosis of the liver? Should I limit less than 2000 calories to make the liver work without getting tired, even if I eat bread, or does that harm it even if the calories

Well just a few months ago my Alp was up. I had broke my finger and we thought that caused it. That was the beginning of June. Now it's Oct. and my finger is healed and my last two blood tests all of it's high. My Alp is high and so is my Ast and Alt. My ALT used to be around 52, a lil high and the
