Good morning to you all, I would really value your opinions on the letter I received yesterday from gastro ( to my doctor) basically it said bloods are still normal and liver screen was unremarkable which I know is good as it means normal so I’m really pleased with that, I just wish I knew what was

Someone recently asked me about taking Urso after my transplant and the return of the disease for me. I can't find the post but I wanted to answer. I have taken Urso since I was 35 years old. I am now 73. I have had no real problems with it all these years luckily. About 25% of those who have a liver

My previous blood test was on the 14th Dec 23 and my numbers were gradually reducing. I just had the results this morning and pretty much all my levels have increased including

Cirrhosis Reversal Question
I had HCV and was successfully treated and have been HCV free for around 8 years. At that time I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis , platelets around 64 000 , enlarged spleen , fibroscan at 22.1. I have been checked routinely by very good hospitals. My last 3 fibroscans have improved each time .first

Hi.....again
Hi everyone, My partners liver cirrhosis had disappeared - to look at him you wouldn't know anything was wrong, he's on medication and for a while everything was good. Now he's developing a hard tummy again, I'm now worried that something is very wrong as he hasn't drank since he went to hospital back

Is it fair to keep cirrhosis a secret from family?
Hi, I just learned a parent has stage 4 liver cirrhosis. Some family has known for a year that tests were borderline and this was a possibility. This parent has been sober for over one year and is walking 1-2 miles a day. We’re told it’s compensated stage 4 and he could have anywhere from one year to

cirrhosis and statins
I’ve not asked for help on here before and would really appreciate any advice. I have alcoholic cirrhosis and am being recommended statins for cholesterol by my practice nurse. I’m a 57 year old UK male. The information sheet from the nurse session warns not to take statins if you have cirrhosis. I’m

Fatty Liver -Pain
Hi, I have had NAFLD for several years but have just started to get pain with it. I think it may have moved to NASH and possibly fibrosis or cirrhosis (nothing has confirmed that officially yet). I had a blood test and the doctor said that the liver function number was raised more so than usual. It
