some good news
I was diagnosed with liver cancer with 2 tumours, one measuring 3 1/2 cm, in June of last year. The oncologists said I would do well to have two years but with a treatment called TACE I am now cancer free. I do have cirrhosis which they say is the reason that I have the liver cancer, I also have varises

fatty liver
does anyone know the average size of a liver for a woman who’s 50. I’ve been told that mine is 12.5 which indicates fatty liver. 12 months ago my liver was normal. I stopped drinking and now it’s fatty. I’m so confused and having no support. Some advise say no dairy then others say it’s ok

NHS Blood and Transplant are seeking the views of patients on living donor liver transplantation

successful PIP claim (higher) and what we did
Hi, thanks so much to everyone here who offered advice on how to claim for PIP. We have heard today my partner has been awarded the higher amount for both living and mobility and this has been approved without a physical assessment OR a phone call. This is what we did in case it helps anyone. FYI

abnormal LFT
I’ve posted several times over the last couple years convinces I have cirrhosis. All my labs and imaging has been normal other than an ultrasound a few years ago stating “mildly heterogenous liver” all scans since have noted normal appearing liver. My lfts have never been out of range until today. My

New to this group & Newly Diagnosed with HCC.
I just wanted to say hello to the group. My bio describes what I have been going through. My Budd Chiari Syndrome diagnosis really helped understand my reason for suffering with cirrhosis and decompensated liver. I am not a drinker and have been thoroughly tested for genetic disorders. When I was 19

ELF score 8.3
I have had several elastography tests, the last one the same week as I took ELF test. It was 4.8kpa, but ELF test shows moderate fibrosis (8.3). Its seems ELF test is more accurate, because on this forum I have found several people who feel smth is wrong with their liver that have normal elastography
