Does anyone think after cause is determined she could get lithotripsy, have kidneys restored to healthy and back on donor list ? Meanwhile we need to buy time for waiting list which can be 3 years. GFR 16. No dialysis. Active, healthy appearing. Nephrologists thinks FISTULA could stabilize GFR.

Last few years, kidney stones then UTIs, until lithotripsy for the stones. But have urethral constriction, so every 4 month I have stents put through my stoma. Has anyone heard of, or had the procedure done for the constriction using Optilume?

hi all I am off this afternoon for my follow up appointment for lithotripsy after my first one at the end of December.

I'm feeling fair since the Kidney Stone/Lithotripsy Stent Procedure surgery. That's a mouth full (right) - some days I'm almost back to my old self other times I feel like I did when I first got diagnosed with MS. I have seen so many follow -up doctors I'm on "hospital burn-out" to say the least.

So yesterday I had lithotripsy surgery (blasted stone with ultrasound waves) for a kidney stone and a stent inserted into my kidney. I was released and give a prescription for oxycodone 10mg/325 mg aceteminophen. I took this medicine 3 times from lunch to bedtime yesterday.

Over the last 18 months I’ve had 6 treatments of lithotripsy. Finally my last scan said they were clear.

I’m on w&w for 12 years and am due to have lithotripsy to treat a kidney stone in my right kidney in 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this treatment

Yesterday ( 13th) I had an operation scheduled to remove my 8mm kidney stone by laszer lithotripsy under spinal anesthetic, my op was scheduled for 2pm and I had to arrive by 11am.

Around 2010, I had 17 more kidney stones removed by laser lithotripsy and basket. Interestingly, I was also diagnosed around that time with thrombocytopenia, as my platelets dropped to about 70,000.

I have to wait for an operation (lithotripsy) to remove the stones and may also have a TURP (I’m undecided on that as I don’t have urination problems and I’m worried about side effects) The consultant prescribed Combodart (dustasteride & tamsulosin) to shrink the prostate and I’m worried about that too

Tuesday was recovery day, Wednesday was supposed to be x ray day to see if the lithotripsy had worked or not and decide what to do next.

I saw my urologist who told me to forget the pain that it's to small to do lithotripsy on it. The pain is gradually becoming more pronounced. It doesn't appear to be moving. I'm concerned that this is stuck and causing my numbers for ckd to drop. Has anyone had this and how it addressed?

He did a ureteroscopy and lithotripsy- lasered the inside of my kidney, placed bilateral stents. When I woke up I was in such severe pain they couldnt get under control so they admitted me. They finally got it under control but I couldn't go pee!!

7 years ago I underwent ESWL (shockwave lithotripsy) and had a urethral stent placed for 2 weeks, for an abundance of large kidney stones on both the right and left sides..the procedure was repeated on the left side 30 days after the initial procedure.

Does anybody know if the lithotripsy can cause damage to the implementation in the spine?

hip aches become more regular until September last year they are pretty much constant, I ended up in hospital in sep, and they found a kidney stone, doc where convinced my pain had nothing to do with the stone but wasn't willing to investigate further until I had passed the stone, which I did after lithotripsy

I'm to have my pre-op assessment next Thursday, and then report for lithotripsy at 7.30 am the following Thursday. The early reporting in implies that the procedure will be done am,so if all goes well I'll be home before tea-time and hopefully a great deal freer of pain.Fingers crossed!
