Lithium and Bipolar 2
I was first diagnosed with Bipolar 2. Prescribed Lithium about 10 years ago. Got off of that drug, after also being diagnosed with ADHD (which I have always known that I had as well as Anxiety and Autism). Is any of this common? I have currently been diagnosed with what I call my personal cornucopia

Thinking Back
Well before my PAF attacks were recognised, I used to feel quite ill after spraying roses (tired and lethargic). Also if the council came around the streets spraying weeds on pavements that would affect me too. I have to admit I don't spray roses anymore. Also cleaning the bath with a spray cleaner

What do you think of Low-Dose Lithium?
1) How long have you taken? [Since 1/6/22 (18 days)] 2) What improvements have you noticed? [Positive effect on Mood, Less Anxiety, more Social.] 3) What improvements in PD have you noticed? [I feel very positive, but too early to tell for sure. I have cut back on on l-dopa (5 to 4 a day).] 4) What

Has anyone experienced a skin rash from Ashwagandha?
When I first started taking (approximately 9 months ago), I experienced the feeling that something was crawling on me, which would keep me up at night. So, I started taking both of 250 mg of KSM-66 in the morning (500 mg a day). I like the way it made me feel (clearer thinking mainly). I have a rash

What serum levels indicate someone is deficient in Lithium?
I just recommended to my daughter that she should take low-dose lithium. We had a major disagreement. What serum levels indicate someone is deficient in Lithium? My test results is Less Than 0.2 mEg/L, I assume since Less Than, it is below limit of test. I had taken 5 mg of Lithium Orotate for 4 days

Update: results of a recent PSMA PETscan
I wanted to share with you the results of my recent PSMA PET SCAN. A quick synopsis of my history: an 18+ year journey: radical prostatectomy in August 2003. PSA following surgery was 0.1. It slowly rose to 0.4 over a period of 11 years. Following a more rapid rise to .6, I had salvage radiation in

A theory, perhaps a warning
the short version: Excessive intake of dopamine enhancing supplements may knock serotonin out of balance resulting in a severe episode of depression. The longer version: Here's what happened to me and my guess as to why/how - I was anticipating a need for a little extra help with my Parkinsons symptoms

Hi, I’m in my mid-30s and have been on lithium and atypical-antipsychotics for the past 10 years. Two years ago a mental health clinic added zoplicone to the mix - so I’ve been taking 3.75mg (on a good night) to 15mg (when things are scary) every night. I’m back at the clinic now and the nurses and

Does anyone take Vitamin K2?
MK-7, (Menaquinone-7 is touted as the most bio-available form of Vitamin K2). I started taking due to concern that all those years of taking Calcium supplements may have contributed to my developing PD. I just noticed an interesting thing about lithium orotate
I read in a review of lithium orotate that it is broken down to uridine so I looked at the chemical structures and they are very similar, with the uridine just having a sugar molecule attached on the N and the COO- Li+. group removed. Interesting. Uridine is one of the compounds hubby is taking

Treating autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA)
Does anyone have autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) along with your chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). I believe it occurs for around 10% of CLL patients. Any experience or knowledge about it would help. My Haptoglobin has gone from 39 in September to 14 this past week. As I understand it, when it

Postpartum psychosis to bipolar disorder
I’ve wrote on here a few times and always value the response I get then I tend to forget about the page as life is so busy. I was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis after the birth of my son 3 years ago and we spent nearly two months in a mother and baby unit. Previous to his birth I had a long history

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Anybody have knowledge of it?
Hi there, A good friend of mine (62 years) text me tonite saying he was considering having this procedure carried out. He asked me if I could find out about it, me being the medical - tech in our friendship! He went through a catastrophic event in 2016 when his new wife of two years abruptly left him
