MK-7, (Menaquinone-7 is touted as the most bio-available form of Vitamin K2). I started taking due to concern that all those years of taking Calcium supplements may have contributed to my developing PD. (my post on calcium healthunlocked.com/cure-par... As I understand K2 is helpful in transporting calcium and deciding where in the body calcium ends up. Also, MK-7 is supposedly helpful in preventing plaques in blood stream and in dissolving them. I take 50 mcg a day.
FYI –
“Vitamin K2 plays a role in the energy production of defective mitochondria. Because defective mitochondria are also found in Parkinson's patients with a PINK1 or Parkin mutation, vitamin K2 potentially offers hope for a new treatment for Parkinson's.” sciencedaily.com/releases/2...
“According to Harvard University, a common misconception is that calcifications are caused by a calcium-rich diet. However, researchers haven’t found a link between dietary calcium and a higher risk for calcium deposits.” healthline.com/health/calci...
But: “If you frequently take calcium carbonate supplements (such as Tums), you risk raising your calcium to high levels. Problems with the kidney or the parathyroid (four small glands on the back of the thyroid) can also cause calcium levels in your blood to rise too high.” healthline.com/health/calci...

Morning, I've just read your post. Many people (particularly those that had bad prognosis with covid) were very short or completely depleted of D3. When taking D3 we should all take K2 and Magnesium too. Boron is another good supplement.
I take it, from my doc I understand that if you take vitamin D, you should definitely take k2 must have Menaquinone 7 to keep calcium from being deposited in the wrong places and contributing to heart disease. I take D once and K2(M-7) twice a day.
Yes take it- family member with Parkinson’s and another without all take OptiCel Heart Health which has MenaQ7 Vitamin K as well as magnesium and other ingredients which help reduced inflammation, oxidative stress and improve blood flow.
